Do you hate smokers, Don?
I would never disrespect you by smoking in your presence, knowing how you feel but I don't deserve to be hated because I do something you despise.
Have a good evening.

Why Do People With Mental Illness Smoke?
There are many reasons why any individual smokes. On top of the usual reasons people with mental illness may find other good effects from smoking. Positive effects of smoking for people with mental illness, include the following:
* Nicotine increases alertness. This may enhance concentration, thinking and learning. This may be a benefit to people with schizophrenia whose illness or medication leads to cognitive problems.
* Nicotine can help relaxation, and it can also reduce negative feelings such as anxiety, tension and anger. So smoking may help people with mental illness deal with stressful situations.
* Nicotine might have an antidepressant effect. Nicotine stimulates dopamine production in part of the brain and so may help negative symptoms of schizophrenia, such as lack of motivation, lack of energy and flat mood.

Well then you had better watch what you eat since Nicotine is also found in MANY vegies like = many common foods including vegetables such as potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers, cauliflower, eggplant, chili peppers, and also some teas.

Heheh...No, FC is a friend from a couple of years ago. She hasn't been to the forums for a very long time.

Actually, I am way too busy with full time job, full time school, home and family. But, that is due to change in a matter of weeks. I'll be an empty-nester in an instant. My youngest is getting married and moving to Ft. Drum, NY, her sonn-to-be husband is in the army. My oldest...well, she needs to be pushed out to live on her own.

There is a very special man in my life but I have learned to only depend on ME, you know?

semi-retarded 7 thumbs up
buy a semi-retarded mug or cap or hoodieUsed to describe someone who is not fully retarded (as in someone who cannot successfully use the restroom without supervision), but is retarded enough to cause them to make extremely bad judgment calls. Usually a semi-retard is capable of regular activities but often decides to do something really, incredibly stupid that either injures them or makes them a spectacle.
O.J. is semi-retarded for thinking that "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" after his crime.

Bryson:(Mad because he got cut by a breaking bit when trying to drill through a concrete block)
You: What the hell Don?! Are you semi-retarded?

I would not subject anyone to my SHS who wishes not to be. I believe that SHS can be a "trigger" for people who have existing conditions such as asthma but I am not convinced SHS kills anyone.

Even though that is my opinion, I choose to respect the people in my presence.

Hi JC ... nice to see you again! Yep, all is good here in the Texas Hill Country! Been beautiful for months after our 69 plus days of over 100+ digits in the weather ... My "snow bird" friends are down for the winter from Montana ... they're sayin' it's gonna be a long long cold wet winter! I tend to agree with them! I'v been good ... my pups are great! I have a new pup, Jax, who is now 1 yr and 5 months old now! He is a trip! Loves to play ball but doesn't seem to like the frisbee too much ... Hope all is well with you and yours ... thanks for the compliment as I try to maintain a good attitude if at all possible ... you take care & be safe and I'll catch ya around the corner! Peace ~ FC

Hey there Sheri! Long time no see! Hope things have been well for you ... Not much going on over here ... Getting ready for a trip to Kookoofornia here the first week of December and then back to Cali around February for my birthday ... then to Nashville for 3 days in March and on to Lexington KY for the Little League Congress which should be fun for 3 more exciting days ... so have lots planned for the next couple of months ... My niece graduates from high school in May so I'll be in Atlanta that month ... lots of fun planned and I hope it goes off without a hitch ... so very nice to see you again! You take care of YOU! Catch you around the corner as well! Stay sweet! Peace ~ FC

P.S. I just got back on Wednesday from Durant OK where they have the Choctaw Casino ... it was a package deal and I got $35 dollars of their money to spend and spent it all like crazy and came home with $13.75 in my pocket so I didn't lose any of my money ... it was fun!
