I have a peice of junk powermate 5000 watt gen set.It has very little hours and doesen't work any more.don't even think of buying coleman powermate!

I bought a Coleman Powermate with a 10HP Tecumseh motor on sale for $600.00 this summer and just had it hooked up yesterday. It ran for 20 minutes and quit. I phoned the store and was told their policy only covers gasoline motors for 30 days. The electrician who set it up thinks something went wrong with the circuit board. I am talking to the store, but wonder if it is worth trying to get the generator repaired. Any advice is welcome.

I stopped working there back in early 1990's. glad I did not waste my life working for a "loosing" company. I pity all those that have spent the years of their life working for a back breaking company that really did not give a rip about their employees. Best of luck to everyone that lost their job, but, just the same I am glad that I have not wasted my time there.

Jino, I purchased the same item and seem to have the same problems. My batteries are good but the charging Base is not working, so it does not do me any good.
