This was a very difficult week for our whole family. Our other brother Craig flew in from Alaska so we were all together. How wonderful to be able to have a conversation with Kent and laugh about how "he looks like he has been hit by a truck".
He still is in progressive ICU so visits should be limited.
Kent's wife, children and grandchildren have been wonderful through all of this and we know there is a long therapy road ahead.
As I run a brain injury facility, I am grateful and feel very blessed that this was not the case with Kent. Of course it is one thing to tease about having enough brains but quite another when you don't, so this really hit home of how lucky he was.
Thank you all for all of your support. NTV has been absolutely wonderful to our family. Kent and all of us could not do this without you. I know that Kent's high spirits and our hopes are because of all of your support, cards. letters and kindness.
Thank you for all you have done for my little brother. He is my heart too. Thank you for keeping him in yours.
