NBC/WSJ poll: Negative campaign takes toll on candidates; Obama up six points

In the presidential horserace, Obama leads Romney by six percentage points among registered voters, 49 percent to 43 percent.

That’s a slight change – within the margin of error – from last month’s poll, which showed Obama ahead by three points, 47 percent to 44 percent.

In a smaller sample of registered voters living in 12 battleground states (Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin), the incumbent president’s lead over Romney is eight points, 49 to 41, which is essentially unchanged from June.

In addition, Obama leads Romney by 16 points (49 percent to 33 percent) on which candidate better looks out for the middle class.

The Hill Poll: Voters blame president most for slow economic recovery

Two thirds of likely voters say the weak economy is Washington's fault, and more blame Obama than anybody else, according to a new poll for The Hill.

It found that 66% believe paltry growth and slow economic recovery is the result of bad policy. 34% say Obama is most to blame, followed by 23% who say Congress is the culprit. 20% point the finger at Wall Street. and 18% blame Bush.

The poll has also found 53% of voters say Obama has taken the wrong actions and has slowed the economy down. 42% said he has taken the right actions to revive the economy, while 6% said they were not sure.

Nope, it doesn't matter where it was published.
Except that you specifically said that it was published in the Washington Post - and that was a lie, wasn't it?
I didn't say, nor care where it was published. Can't you read, lib? I copied it, verbatim, from another site.

The point is that it's all true.

Obama didn't get to be president on his own, EVERYONE ELSE put him there!!!

And it shows how inept and unprepared he was.

A new poll of Florida shows President Obama with a five-point advantage, encouraging news for his campaign in a crucial swing state.

Obama garnered 48 percent of voters in the new SurveyUSA poll conducted for Tampa's WFLA-TV, versus 43 percent for the Republican challenger, largely thanks to strong numbers among Hispanics and independents. The president leads among Hispanics 49-39 percent, self-described moderates 59-30 percent, and those not affiliated with a party by 46-35 percent.

The path to victory for Romney is near-impossible without Florida's 29 electoral votes, and the Republican challenger has targeted the state as crucial to his efforts.

Poll finds Obama with 5-point lead in Florida

Gallup finds Obama approval rating rising for third straight quarter

President Obama is trouncing GOP presidential front-runner Mitt Romney in 12 battleground states thanks to a double-digit advantage with women.

Obama leads Romney 51 to 42 percent in the latest USA Today/Gallup poll of 12 swing states that was released Monday. Romney holds a one-point lead among men in the poll, but trails with women by 18 points.

It’s unlikely that the GOP nominee would be able to win the White House with a gender gap of that magnitude. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) suffered a similar gender split in 2008, losing to Obama by one point among men but by 13 points among women.

Poll: Obama attacks on Romney sticking
More than a third of voters who are registered to a party or as an independent said in the online survey that what they had heard about Romney's taxes and his time at Bain Capital private equity firm had given them a less favorable impression of the Republican candidate.

And particularly worrying for Romney is that a large slice of independent voters -- whom he needs to win the November 6 election -- are also buying into the Obama campaign's portrayal of him as a ruthless businessman who may be hiding something in his taxes.

With three-quarters of registered voters saying they've heard at least a little about these issues, I would say the Obama campaign has been successful in raising them to the national conscience.

People are finally seeing Romney for the Greedy tax dodger and outsourcing pioneer that he is.

And just about every responsible poll (sorry, but that doesn't include Republican hack Rasmussen) has Obama ahead. Check http://www.electoral-vote.com/ They have Obama at 332 Electoral Votes, even with Raspublican included, and 342 without him. I always get a kick out of people on the losing side quoting polls.

obamney no answer

chick-fil-a against gay marriage, so why all the heat on Chick-fil-a?

they stand by THEIR values, they are not trying to FORCE them down peoples throats like the GAY lobby loves to do.

such a double standard, it is pathetic.
