As a former resident of the DeSoto area I don't need to bother reading his local news....I used to think of it as Gannonville as that was the family of political power at the time....They were using thier money to "contribute" to the area by building the only new shopping plaza (now called mall)/motel in the area and opening a white castle in fast growing Festus.
When I saw the big news about Gov Nixon spending our tax dollars to visit and encourage our troops in Afghanistan...I knew we were in trouble.
I had an order for child support from my X back in the early part of this decade and although I wrote pages, made copies and delivered large thick envelopes of info to MO and AR child support enforcement...never got a dime after the first month. Da mudda (x), an atty, later said she got the debt dismissed in bankruptcy court.

If we weren't in such dire circumstances it would be funny that our memory is so short....and the majority so nearly blind due to "ignorance by choice" (denial and refusal of the truth). I actually praise him though for his success, depsite his name, and his leadership of one of the most honest, responsible and pro-active states in the nation.
Write to the Governor and all of our elected officials, give them your suggestions and hold the accountable for making the best possible decisions and choices on subjects that need prioritization.

Doing these things will change our economy, productivity and quality of life for the better so much that we might have time to focus on saving the planet and be able to do it in the dwindling time left. It's a concious choice now...but not for long. Waste not, want not...a "suggestion" from God the Father and Mother Nature that we can no longer afford to refuse.
Next time somebody pooh poohs climate change, invite them to vacate the premises please and stop interfering with our fight to survive and turn the whole planet to the Eden it can be.
