May this little Angel take his love to heaven were his first name is well known!

I could fill a library with all of Michael’s funny stories. The vacation our family spent together in Long Boat Key and the nights he spent with my boys. My boys, Roland 9 and Ryan 5, and Michael are cousins and the times they spent together i will cherish for a lifetime. I will tell two of my favorite stories, the first is so everyone can see what a HUGE heart he had and the second is to show you what a funny character he could be when he wanted.
It was thanksgiving 2005 and my son Roland wrote a thanksgiving message he wanted to read to the family before our meal. At the last minute, as one would expect, he got nervous about reading his message but worked through it and read it to all in attendance. When he was done Michael approached him and in his unique way hugged Roland and told him "he was so proud of him for getting up and reading his thanksgiving message",
“it was awesome”. I was floored with the loving gesture and the way he went out of his way to make Roland felt good about what he accomplished.“I love Michael” Roland said….” you are my best friend in the whole world”.
The second story is a time when I took Michael and my two boys to a Florida Panthers game. We got out tickets and to my surprise the seats were the last row upper deck..not near the back or the second to last row….they were the LAST ROW. But that could not take away from Michael and my boys thrill of being at the game. It was time to get some food at the concession stand and when I asked Michael what he wanted to eat he proceeded to place this order.“I will start with a hot dog, fries, chicken fingers, popcorn, coke, and cotton candy”. My boys and I just looked at him for a few seconds and then we all started to laugh. My boys were always amazed at the amount of food Michael could eat. He would tell me “ uncle Roland, I am a growing boy..i need to eat”. I love you Michael. I can tell you that I have never had as good a time at a Panthers game as I did that night. To see them banging on the wall and cheering with each goal the Panthers scored. That night will warm my heart for an eternity. Michael, we love you and miss you!

Bless his little heart!!!! What an amazing young man he was!!! Sad that he was taken away too soon. My sympathies to his parents and relatives.

Being a mom of an 8 year old son myself, I read this article and immediately the tears came flowing down my face. My heart so deeply goes out to this young boy's mom, dad and entire family. One can't even to begin to imagine the loss you are feeling. I have always said, it's not the ones that go, it's the ones they leave behind. For you know he is a better place, but that does so little now to ease the pain, I am sure. What a tragic story, I am so sorry for your loss. I can only hope that the prayers from all who read your story, will be felt. You know he does not want you to be sad, and he will always be yours for eternity.

Dear Michael,
Happy Birthday my big boy!!!

I just wanted to tell you how happy I was to have you as my son. I miss your "Michael" hugs more than you could ever imagine! The mornings without your extremely LOUD singing in the shower are just not the same! Your daddy misses ironing your clothes for you for school. He sits in your room every morning and thinks about you.

I know that you are in Heaven and that you are happier than you could ever be, and as a mother, that soothes my soul. I just wish that you were here with us.

Derek wishes that you could ride in his car with him again and watch the TV screen on the visor. It made him proud to take you places.

Devin misses playing video games with you and having you beat him!

Aliana sits outside every night and talks to the brightest star and pretends that it is you.

Please always know that we love you more than life itself and can't wait until we can feel your hugs again.

I had the pleasure to meet Michael last year. He was on my son Nicholas's baseball team/ The Cubs. I volunteered to be dug-out Mom. As we all know, it's not easy settling down 8 year olds in the dug out. At the first practice I set the rules,and told the boy's whomever shows the best behavior will earn a reward. Michael didn't have to try, his behavior, humor, and manners won the first reward to be given. He was so polite, that I told his parents how impressed I was with him. My favorite games were when Michael would hit his home-runs. He was so excited and proud that he ran the bases with his arms reaching to the sky. I told him he's my Babe Ruth. My family & I are deeply saddened and wanted to send our condolences. He was a special little boy, though I didn't know him for long, he made such an impression for me not to remember him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. GOD BLESS!

I remember the first time I held you in my arms. You were so small and helpless. You grew into everything I could ever want in a son and more. You taught me more about love,compassion and faith in 9 years than I could ever have hoped to teach you in a lifetime. I'm sorry that I was always so busy and didn't have more time to spend with you. Daddy would gladly change places with you in a minute to take away all the pain your family is feeling at this time. I sleep in your bed sometimes because it makes me feel close to you. I went to visit Ms. P and all your classmates yesterday to celebrate your 9th birthday. Daddy misses all the nights we spent together watching Seinfeld.I know your in Heaven with Jesus watching over all of us. Please forgive me for all the times I wasn't there for you.I am so happy that I was able to give you your first communion (Our little secret) Daddy hopes to be with you very soon.

What a beautiful tribute to Michael. I wish I had a chance to know him. In his short life he made a difference with his friends and teachers and everyone who knew him. I'm sure he is doing the same in heaven with his family that went before him. God bless Michael and his family.

I too wish I could have known Michael. He sounds like a very special boy. My heart goes out to his family. I have no words to express my sentiments.
There is a song that's lyrics paraphased say, We don't have the answers to all of life's questions. Just love them like Jesus. Carry them to Him. His yoke is easy. His burden is light. I will be carrying your family to Jesus in my prayers. May you find comfort in knowing this fallen world is not the end.

Hard to see what I am writing through the tears in my eyes. God bless this family, and may the strength and love of God be with them always. Michael is happy, know this. He is with Jesus and the Angels. Know he is at peace. Prayers to your family always.

Happy Birthday.
I just want to tell you that I miss you very much since you went to help Jesus fight all the bad things. I can picture you wearing your little battle suit. You took a little piece of all of us when you went. I miss hearing you talk and spell with your lisp. I am glad we drove home together from miami and I let you use the cruise control and steer the truck. I am also glad I could never say no to you and I let you use all of my power tools including the chainsaw,(don't tell mommy & daddy). Most of all I miss hearing you tell everyone how much you loved them.
I always told you that as your Godfather I would always be there to take care of you and that I am like your 2'nd father.I know now that you are gonna take care of all of us.

We are now finding out what a special little boy you were and what we missed not knowing you. My God, not a moment goes by that you are not painfully missed. So many memories...such a gorgeous child, in every way. You always had a way of making strangers feel good and smile. You always had a kind word and helping hand for anyone. You were wise beyond your eight little years. I wish I could touch your face, and endure your bear hugs one more time.
