The propsosed laws on smoking are not smoking bans. They are mear restrictions on when and where a smoker may smoke. This is much like the restrictions many areas have about when and where you may drink beer. They are no big deal and easy to live with.
Just back up a sec..Your stepping on freedom and then gloating about it. Calling us low class stupid scum and the like. Do you just expect us to just bow down and say yes massa? Aint gonna happen! When you people get a concience let me know....I'm losing mine with every trash word you anti's say about good people that care about others. Think about the things YOU have already said to us.

Smoking bans are a type of eminent domain abuse. Some one has a better use for your property than you are currently putting it to. So they use government authority to take control of the property. The people in St. Louis who fight smoking bans hardest are also the biggest enemies of other forms of eminent domain abuse.
Isn't that kind of like when you have property way out somewhere and the state decides they want part of it for a road or train or something, if you do not want to sell, they just take it ??

LOL.......okay then,,,let's say you had to go out into 15 degree or 120 degree weather for 10 min. to do something you enjoyed doing, that others before you had been doing for centuries. Would you give that up without even an opinion.? Really try to think of something that is important to you, but nonsense to others....Please Candid, give it a try.

By law that can't "just take it". You will be offered fair market price. Then if that's not accepted then possible legal action to force you to sell it.

Isn't forcing a person to sell, the same as just taking it......If I didn't want to sell my country home and they tried to force me, they would get shot for trespassing....then me I suppose...but without our rights we have nothing anyway.

I think you were listening to your inner child when you posted this, unless you have proof of it, I believe it is called slander..Not to mention rude... And....You say you want to right the worlds wrongs - How about teaching your children that it is wrong to take away anothers "rights" to satisfy oneself....I dare you to challenge the authority behind this illegal ban on smoking. You say you are realistic and spiritual......How realistic is it to back something that will open the flood gates to more and more illegal bans.,,,,and how spiritual is it to say those nasty things about someone you do not know? Just because you do not like what he/she says.

And please understand that no one in here believes that you care one way or the other. As everyone knows, you are only selling your product from a very far away place and view us as suckers.....Even the non-smokers.

I don't get a ... about the health issues I just get tired of going home smelling like an ashtray. Don't you realize if you're a smoker you just flat out stink. When I'm sitting in my work cube I can tell immediately when someone comes in from smoking. Some try to hide the smell with a ton of cologne and that smell just makes me want to puke.

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia -- Perfume is meant to provoke passion, but not the sort stirring this historic seaport.

To the horror of perfume makers worldwide, Halifax has become the first major center in North America to prohibit the wearing of all cosmetic fragrances -- from Giorgio to grandmother's lavender soap -- in most indoor public places, including municipal offices, libraries, hospitals, classrooms, courts, and mass transit buses.

With little fanfare, and less public debate, a city renowned for its sea breezes and friendly folk has declared underarm deodorant, herbal shampoos, colognes, and other scented products to be hazardous to public health -- or at least too politically incorrect to be countenanced. The ban, backed by ardent scent opponents, reflects not only concern for people discomforted by fragrances but a grim new environmental view that sees a morning slap of aftershave as a blow against Mother Earth.

"Aromatic chemicals are poisoning people and the planet as much as tobacco or pesticides," said Karen Robinson, an anti-scent campaigner who compares the fight against fragrances to writer Rachel Carson's celebrated early warnings about the effects of DDT, a powerful insecticide now restricted by law. "We don't want a 'Silent Spring' brought by cosmetics in Halifax. We've even got scent-free doughnut shops."

Meanwhile, students have been suspended from class for wearing hair gel and other scented goo (one nearly landed in jail for "assaulting" his teacher's olfactory senses); an 84-year-old woman was booted out of City Hall for wafting her customary cologne while making a civic inquiry; and another woman was ordered off a city bus for smelling too sweet.

Your "right" to smoke went by the wayside with advancement in society. Like when we left the caves, starting eating cooked meats and started getting immunization against diseases.

Now we are protecting our young and elderly from you and at the same time making the world a better place to live. Sorry time has passed you by. I hope I answered your question.

Smokers will continue to lose ground because they are dying, and because, demographically and collectively, they are at the bottom of the gene pool. Check out education, income, health, and whatever other status you might want for smokers v. nonsmokers. See who's losing? Right.

And don't EVEN get me started on the amount of cigarette pack litter I pick up in my neighborhood.

When I was in the army we'd be policing (ie, picking up) litter like cigarette butts, and the smoking morons would throw down their butts AND THEN PICK THEM BACK UP. Holy crap. It was amazing.

Two guys at work smoke so much and so frequently that they have gone beyond normal cigarette stink into that fetid, rancid, rotting-on-the-inside smell. I have seen people recoil from the vapors when talking to them. It's that bad.

If smokers were more aware and considerate of the affect of their habit on others then perhaps they wouldn't suffer ghettoization.

The use of tobacco represents a drug addiction and mental illness. Tobacco is a weapon of mass destruction that kills 5,000,000 users and hundreds of thousands of INNOCENT people (who breathed toxic tobacco smoke) around the globe, every year. This genocide MUST be stopped now. If you don't agree, you are ignorant, stupid or BOTH. Or, perhaps, you are a tobacco pusher or one of their "friends". The tobacco pushers are guilty of mass murder and should be executed. Smoking must be banned everywhere and then tobacco must be banned.
