Plano Minister Arrested In Sex Sting Resigns
The pastor of a Plano megachurch told his congregation on Saturday that a minister facing charges of online solicitation of a minor has resigned.

Entrapment? They didn't reach out to him...he reached out to what he thought was an underaged little girl. He wasn't entraped...and you're a moron if you think he was. When you cruise the streets and proposition a prostitute, you do so believing it is a prostitute...NOT ENTRAPMENT. The police didn't approach him and didn't steer him to Bryan...he showed up with a web cam and condoms...he thought he was going to have sex with a 13 yr old girl...may his soul burn in hell and his back side be pounded by his cell mate. Maybe then he'll see how rape feels. 5 to 1 odds he offs himself! |

This man is a sexual predator and has let everyone that knew and believed in him down. I'm sure his wife would like to crawl under a rock. Too bad he couldn't think with anything but what's in his pants. He should do us all a favor and put himself out of his misery.

Oh, he's freed after posting $7000 bail. Tsk, tsk. The police sex sting hardwork for 2 weeks to catch this sexual predator is only rewarded with the arrested being a free man and $7000 bail after.

You know, in the old days we'd take a guy like that out of town and he'd just disappear forever. The old ways were best. You didn't have 100 of those perverts living in your neighborhood out on bail, free to do whatever to whomever. They just didn't live very long back then after they were exposed.
Where was it, Ohio, I think, where a guy got fed up and got addresses off the web of many offenders in his area and started shooting those on the list. Extreme, but effective.(Just kidding.) Seriously, is there no better way to keep these folks locked away from our children? Our children deserve better. |

This is a very dis heartening story. To think that a preacher would do such a thing. Anyways, I was at that church this Sunday as a first time visitor and when the pastor began speaking of this situation, I looked over at my girlfriend, a long time member of the church, and she had no clue what it was about.
The Church is hurting over this embarrassing story. I feel for this mans family. |

I feel for this man's family as well. I tired of seeing these weel know public officials, pastors, and politicans getting caught over sick crap like this! Espeacially in regards to pastors. Having grown up in the church, ist hard go back somtimes because you feel as if you really don't know this person as well as you thought. How can you as pastor tell me the things I do are wrong, my desires towards the opposite sex are wrong and the you go out and drive 200 miles to "meet" a 13yr girl for god knows what! He probaly told the cops he was there to "councel" her on the wrongings of sex. Growing up in my neghborhood there was always two types of men that were respected,liked, feared,and morality questioned; the minister and the pimp. Unfortunely in the church sometimes its hard to figure out which is which.

Prestonwood Baptist Church is not new to this. Remember the pastor who was "counseling" the women, got caught and resigned? I think it was in the 90's, but he had it going for years and got told on. I am sure the church heads would have wanted it kept secret, though.

The Prestonwood staff seems more concerned about the family of this pervert than the number of children he might have molested. You can rest assured this was not his first attempt.
Now, perhaps Rod Drier could explain to us again how gay marriage is destroying the family unit. |

I think Prestonwood the right thing, in accepting his resignation. He should be removed from the church, which is a Biblical principle.
I don't know if this was entrapment, but in actuality, what real crime was committed? There was no child involved; no sex involved. This was a crime of 'imagination'. I suppose these hold up in court, but it seems a little odd. If he's guilt of real child molestation, then hang him. |
