Houston Man Charged In Forgery Case Claims Identity Theft

What more proof does this man have to come up with for the DA to drop the charges against him ?
Using a DL photo is about the poorest excuse of identification imaginable. I have yet to have one on a drivers license that truly "looks like" me and I have had a license for almost 50 years. His employer swears that he was at work and shows proof of it and still the DA won't budge!! There is surely "something rotten in (Denmark) Collin County" This sure smells a lot like the "Henry Wade" days in Dallas County.
I certainly hope that he is keeping a record of all the losses he has incurred (Lost wages for the time in jail, trips back and forth to Collin County, etc. not to mention the humiliation) and then when it is all over, hires himself a good lawyer to sue the crap out of the DA's office.

Any these days can make out false check, steal people identities and even cash a check in your name. the man had evidence and his evidenc e will set him free.

Whatever happened to the thing we call "Common Sense"??????

Just another blurr in our system. We let convicted child molestors go, and hold a man that is obviouly innocent.

Guilty until proven innocent. Hey wait....maybe even after that...for crying outloud, what's it going to take to convince the DA that they goofed? Isn't it sad when your ego is too big to fit in a building and you can't accept the fact that you just "goofed up?"

I had a similar situation so I feel for him. I nearly lost a new job after being laid off for 4 months because there were outstanding warrants for my arrest due to identity theft. Even though I had a police report on file in Dallas County, they still issued the warrant and I had to provide information to clear my name, only to find that it is still on my record but not showing as guilty.

I'm never moving to Collin County!
identity theft sucks. They got me last year for 80k. I lost work over trying to get it all fixed. I would like to find that person right now.

Well it sucks if another innocent man goes to prison because the system wants to close a case - no matter what means they have to go to in order to do so. It really sounds as if this is a innocent man and if he is convicted - I would sue the crap out of the system.
