For a little while it was just a steady roll of thunder here, nonstop. Didn't see any lightning through our window at first. Never did sound like it got real close, but it was a dandy. Rained real hard for a while after the thunder had gone by.

The thunder and lightning was awesome! Man, I love those storms! I don't recall much wind though.

It wasn't a tornado. It was Granholm passing through, attempting to blow us away, one way or another.

In Greenville, it was extremely windy and the lightning was amazing. A few times the thunder woke me up out of dead sleep, wow I cannot wait until more storms come through.

The Man upstairs was again flexing His muscles, I really enjoy a good storm as long as people are not injured or property is damage.

I must have been tired last night. I didn't even know we had severe storms last night until I watched the weather this morning.

Please tell me more about the horses. How were they handled, how did they get out, what type of injuries did they sustain, how are they now? This can be an extremely devastating incident for the equine species as they were locked in a facility under such extreme conditions.

Does anyone know if tornados are covered by insurance or do you have to purchase a separate wavier for this malady also.

According to the story I saw on the news at noon, the horses are fine and are now boarded out in the neighborhood. They do have insurance, so it's just a matter of time and a lot of cleanup work to get things back to normal. The report said the tornado was EF0 or EF1.

I swear I sleep better when there are storms. When Walker got hit with the straight line winds in 98 I was living in a trailer and it was rocking and everything and I missed it all by sleeping right through it!! My husband on the other hand did not sleep as well!! LOL

I love summer storms, we sit out on out front porch on the bench and watch them!!
