Plainfield Landsharks Travel Baseball try outs

Attention to any interested student athlete:

The tryout for a new independent 15U travel team will be held on Sunday, August 5th at 3pm in Downers Grove, at the High School located at 1436 Norfolk Street – South Campus Varsity Baseball Field.

The focus of the team is to develop student athletes
•Expand baseball skills and knowledge
•Prepare ...for High School Baseball programs
•Maintain skills in off-season
•Showcase for colleges, if the player is looking to continue his baseball career

•Better competition – as found at the High School level
•More tournament options

Games at the 15U level will respect High School Programs (both season and summer) so the travel season will not start until the end of May, due to IHSA rules. Tournaments will also be weekend focused to allow student athletes to participate in their respective High School Programs, as well as other sports camps, over the summer.

Currently, I am the Pitching Coach at Downers Grove South High School - my goal is to bring High School Concepts to Travel Baseball. I have included my coaching resume for your review – do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. The team is open to kids from all communities – not just Plainfield – so please forward on and hope to see you at the tryouts.

Cost will be anywhere between $700.00 to $1,000.00.

The team will be working out in the winter time out of the Downers Grove South fieldhouse. And then when the weather clears up we'll be in Plainfield.

We were there and I was very impressed. There were a large group of very good players there too. Best of luck coaches, you have a tough choice based on what I seen from the boys out there. Hope we get the call.
