You don't have to be a Miwok to work at Red Hawk Casino. I spoke with my mothers cousins brother-in-law who is a member of the tribe and he got me a job. It doesn't matter which tribe you are from, they'll even hire a Pomo.

They will not hire a Pomo because everyone knows that Pomos are lazyass drunks and not interested in working.

I'm living close by with new casino which is under construction I'm un patiently waiting for the casino to be opened. I will love to get a position. I have verity of experience including office job cleaning, customer service, If I get a job, probably takes me 2 minutes or 3 to be on my job, I'm responsible, honest and self motivated person. Yes, Indian's are shown first preference.(I work at the temporary employment center in El Dorado Hills.)

One of my relatives was murdered there at the Shingle Springs Rancheria by her boyfriend a few years ago. He is a member of the tribe and they lived out there in the mud and the muck in a broken down filthy trailer. We met most of the tribe because of the murder. What a sorry bunch of alcoholics and drug addicts. My relative had her problems like most everyone else in the tribe did, but she didn't deserve to die. We won't ever go to that casino.

I won't give those crooks my $$ either.They have no class whatsoever.The tribal member posting on here is hurting his own cause.They would probably fire him if it was not for his tribal member status.

I don't believe that its fair to judge an entire community for one man's actions. The casino had nothing to do with the murder of your relative. I do believe its your choice to not visit the casino for the feelings you harbor over the loss of a loved one, but I don't understand your reasoning for posting it on a website that posted opportunity for work. I find it negative and nagging. Best of luck to you in your healing process.

I agree, what a senseless comment. I have seen lazy people in every race, some more than others. I think it's time we put aside race in every concept and refer to ourselves as american. Until that happens, segregation will never be able to end. I am a Security Systems Specialist. I have been working in Securirty and technologies since 1990 when I entered the U.S. Marines. I got out in 1996 and after awhile I got my California contractors license working with Primarily Surveillance Systems and Card Access control.(Yes, I have knowledge and the ability to work with Alarms, Intercom, Telephone, etc.) I have applied online and pre-interviewed. Sure would like to go the next step.
