This MRF issue has not gone away.

It has expanded, as it should into making money for the residents of El Dorado County...! Big MONEY!!!
Not just a few "connected" so called representatives and their friends and business associates.

All we have is our voices.

Questions: Why does Waste Connections still charge us a separate 3.75% FUEL and MATERIAL SURCHARGE??

And why hasn't the garbage EDDS franchise "contract" went out to bid since the early 1960s??

Victory!! for rate payers! At the 6/23/09 Board of Supervisors meeting.
Waste Connections via El Dorado Disposal and Amador Disposal DENIED the bogus Fuel Surcharge we have been paying since 2006. AND, DENIED rate increases in Amador Disposal Franchise and received a "well deserved" 1/10th percent increase for the EL Dorado Disposal franchise. HAHA---HA.
The BOS has realized that Waste Connections is not a good deal for El Dorado County. And has put them on notice. That their days are numbered.
RIPP, Inc. and its members are to be congratulated for pushing these issues. And the BOS is to be congratulated for having the backbone to vote 5-0 in favor of the rate payers!
This victory just saved us all MILLIONS of DOLLARS per year!
Now that is Economic Stimulus! For the West Slope. Imagine if we cleaned and tightened-up more county contracts!....Imagine?
