Larry Weitzman reviews a Honda V6-6speed MT

Oh how Weitzman sleighs me with his sophomoric vehicle reviews. I've come to believe if a Sears and Roebuck 24 HP riding came his way, he'd review it as a vehicle with respectable 0-60 in 2 hour acceleration with plenty of 12 pounds of twist.
His latest review of a V6 Honda Coupe:
"Handling is exemplary, the best Honda sedan so far. Suspension is state-of-the-art double wishbones up front and a multilink system in the rear."
Whoa......hold on read this!
"Honda has always had high quality interiors and this new coupe has gone a step farther with finally having the instrument panel receive a soft touch treatment and the door paneling having some depth".
Is Weitzman reviewing a Coupe or a Sedan? Better yet, is he copying and pasting reviews from other automotive sites and plagiarizing?
The best part is this:
"Trunk capacity is a large 12 cubic feet and the gas tank will give you real range at 18.5 gallons. At 34 mpg that is over 600 miles non stop. There are a lot of airplanes that won’t go that far."
"OK, you want one, you are drooling, 34 mpg and 0-60 mph in under six seconds. How much? Accord coupes start at $23,330 (including $670 for destination) for a base 190 hp four banger with auto that is rated at 21/30 mpg and should do much better."
34 MPG?(see the top quote) Honda Civics barely attain this mileage.
I'm a thinking I should buy a new V6 Coupe and if it doesn't get the mileage Weitzman states, the Demorag pays for the difference.

when is the mt. republican going to stop patronizing Larry "the crook" Weitzman?

this guy should be in jail not spreading his car lies.What about all the families torn apart by his drug dealings.The Mountain Democrat should get rid of him.

News flash Hangtownmom.The Mountain Democrat has dumped Larry Weitzman.They replaced him in the opinion pages with the ethically challenged Chuck Norris who moonlights as a mouth piece for the far right.His writting is moronic,mean spirited and predictable.More of the same from the Mountain Democrat.

No more rant spewing from Weitzman? That's good to know, however is he still going to write the automotive reviews? I wish he had left with Crimean Dodge. The only reason I read his auto-reviews is for the entertainment value. Certainly not for a constructive, non-biased, factual review, useful to the local consumer.

I have not read the Mountain Piece of Crap in years but it doesn't surprise me that they would choose an idiot like Norris to write for their rag.Chuck is not a good Christian man.He is a religious kook and a hypocrite.He has at least one child that he admits to from an adulterous affair and does not live the life that expects others to.I was a supporter of Mike Huckabee and had to cringe every time I saw Norris posing with my candidate.I'm not sure why anyone would listen to a word Norris has to say about anything except maybe martial arts.

Of course Weitzman is "on the take".His auto reviews are taken almost word for word from the auto makers own ad copy.Sounds like unbiased reporting to me.This guy is so morally challenged he makes me want to puke.

I'm so, so, very happy Weitzman is still writing reviews for the Demorag. His latest is a hoot. Here's a quoted single paragraph on an Audi's brakes.

"Braking by larger 13-inch brakes front (ventilated) and rear is also spectacular, stopping the S5 in just 38 feet from 40 mph. ABS and every other acronym are standard. Headlights a bi-xenon and turn night into day. "

Anyone can read the review online at mtdemocrat, just use the www and dot com. It's well worth the entertainment.

I just read the review you are refering to and it is a hoot.Don't they have any monkeys at the Mt. Democrat that can proof read his third grade musings before they actually print them?

Nope, no monkeys there (and let us not offend monkeys) just people doing a very poor job as proof-readers and with poor hiring judgment. I wonder if Weitzman married the boss's daughter? How is it possible for a credible (or somewhat)journal to publish such poorly written articles? But then I digress......the auto review most be a comedy column meant to lighten up the ramblings in the editorials.

I doubt Weitzman test drives any of the cars he reviews. Who in thief right mind would loan him a car to test?? I doubt he'd take a drug test to prove he's capable of driving without injuring himself and demolishing a vehicle.

Plus, he's not a drug dealer - I have known him for over 20 years - he hasn't been convicted of anything - he represented someone in what he thought was a legitimate business deal and he didn't know all the details - and now you're going around calling him a drug dealer - which is insane because you don't even know the man

I know him! He's a great guy, a family man - a hard worker, caring -- and yes, he's honest! It's unbelievable that just because you don't like his POV on cars (of all things!) that you would call him a drug dealer!

The man will gladly give glowing reviews on vehicles that every other motor publication advises to avoid because of very poor reliability ratings.One can only assume that he is doing this in exchange for money.This may not be illegal but it is unethical.Just like his dealings with known drug dealers and in case you weren't paying attention he plead no contest which everyone knows is a nice way of saying guilty.What would you do if your mother bought a new car based on Larry's recommendation only to break down on the side of the road.His reviews should be stamped in bold red letters ADVERTISEMENT.That is what they are and he does a terrible disservice to this county.He is morally bankrupt.

I admit, I don't know L.W., I do know of his extreme ramblings, full of rantings and near hate, published by the M.T. I have also read his auto reviews which have no basis for merit. I seriously doubt he drove most of the cars reviewed. When he reviews a BMW, where is there a BMW dealer locally? None!!! He plagiarizes other publications and enhances them with his own gobbledygook. How does this make the man honest as you've stated, how does this reflect upon his integrity?

This isn't so much about his reveiws or articles as it is about his true integrity and honesty. No person needs to be influenced by his political rants nor his fake reviews on cars.

This Weitzman guy is a drug pusher plain and simple.If I came across him in public I would have to hold myself back.He deserves to be run out of town.If his law practice hadn't been so week in the first place he wouldn't of had to take this type of sleaze ball client.Cutting corners in law school has left him unemployable and desperate.
