City man arrested after allegedly attempting to strangle wife

last night i had to rush up to the hospital because we didnt think shed make it through the night. everything dropped blood an oxygen, but luckly she got passed it. shes still the same basically in a coma...but shes staying strong. we just all have to pray she'll make it.i know she will. she has to.

I hope this person gets what is coming to him but knowing Mr. Cohen for his reputation of helping guilty people get off easy on his or her crime there better be a lot of people praying to see him go away for a long time as I feel very sorry for those 2 children they are much better off without this man in their lives imagine those 2 innocent children knowing what happened and believe this they still will remember this even though they are so young.. My prayers are with Julie and her family ..Let's stop the violence against woman and wake up and get involved when you see something wrong do not close your eyes help and do something god bless you Julie and your 2 beautiful daughters

being a victim of domestic violence and barely getting away with my life all woman need to read what has happened and get out of the relationship because it does not get any better they say they'll change .. but heed this warning they don't as we know a lot of people are saying well she should have just left till you walk a mile in her life do not judge she was trying to leave him and he did this laws have got to be stronger and abusers must pay for their abuse with a long prison term where hopefully their life will be torturous let us all pray Julie comes home to her babies and her loving family and friends

I hope and pray for your sister and her children every day.
I hope that scum bag get the longest jail sentence that can be given to him.

Just to let everyone know Julie is not doing well at all. And I cant believe people are trying to semi defend Eugene. Julie never desirved this. People are saying he had demonds, we all have demons, then only difference with us is that we know to go and get help. His knows what he did and should go to a "real" prison where he would get what is coming to him from a guy a lot bigger than he is. I also hope Mr. Cohen does not blame everything Eugene done on PILLS and his "demons"!!

Kristina PLEASE let Krista know if there is anything anything your family needs from any of Julies friends... Im here for what ever it is you guys need!!!

i hope eugene spends the rest of his life in prison(where they treat wife-beaters with "special" disdain) but i also feel the yahoo that was prescribing those aforementioned "medications" should be adressed a well (and the overall medical treatment of individuals who belong in state care)

I am so disgusted with this animal..He has 1 sick mind..Julie I pray for u everyday I hope u recover fast and become the strong woman u are for ure kids..they really need u..He deserves to be tortured..Only if we had the death sentence he should be fried..

hey since the transcript didn't mind letting us all know what happen in gross detail including the children's names, how about letting us all know how there poor mom is doing... My heart goes out to those girls who will never know privacy in their lifetime... another good article from the north adams transcript nothing new.

not sure if anyone has bothered to look up the meds the a$$hole was taking but none were for a mental illness... the ones listed were for diabetes, and high blood pressure and health issues NOT FOR A MENTAL ISSUE. so for the people saying maybe he is crazy then maybe he should have been on meds for a freaking crazy person.. when someone makes the choice to leave a partner/spouse it doesn't give the other person the right to attempt in killing them and then blame the "demons" please to many people are getting away with that damn excuse. STOP THE VIOLENCE.......

This man has no mental issuses. he is a very insecure man that is very big and over towering. so he thinks he can just kill an awsome woman. well surprise u didn;t kill her and she is a strong brave women and will pull threw. her and her 2 beautiful kids will reunite and u r gona be the *** left out. i hope some 1 trys to strangle u so u can see how it is. Does anyone have an update on how Julie is doing? I heard from a friend of Julie's that no one can call the hospital to talk to her mom anymore, so I was wondering if she was doing any better?...Please let us know we are praying for her and her whole family.

He needs to be shot! Especially cause he obviously did this in front of his kids.

I've read all of these posts, and why are people just concerned with how Julie's mom feels. She has more family than her mother's side. What about how they feel and what they are going through? Pretty amazing society we live in!!! Hope all sides of the family are holding together, because Julie needs support from both sides not just one. You don't think her father's side of the family isn't going through hell also, I'm sure they are. God bless both sides of the family and let's hope it all works out for both and for Julie and the kids.

Anyone have any updates on how Julie is doing?

From what I have heard from a very very reliable source that in fact it is'nt looking good for Julie.... in fact the only way she is still alive is because of life support, the family is waiting for the rest of her family to pay their respects.... thats as much as I know for now.

I agree. I knew Julie's father's side of the family...that's also how I knew Eugene to begin with. I'm praying for Julie's recovery and savaltion every minute of every day.

How are her daughters? Are they with family?
