How traumatic, for this little girl, to be ripped out of her grandmothers arms and to witness her grandparents being assaulted, arrested and handcuffed, in front of her.
It's not her fault. She is just a little girl. Shame on DCF for not getting the paperwork that they needed, in order to remove this child calmly and respectively, from the home.
I would think that they have a very strong case. The unfortunate thing is that this child has already been through trauma that she should have never been subjected too.
I hope that DCF changes their policy, so that it never happens to another innocent little person again.

The DCF appears to be more concerned with rules/regulation/ and their unfettered power than they are for children.

While protecting children is important, too often we hear about apparent abuses by DCF. I’m sure most of the people that work for the DCF are well intentioned, however it appears there needs to be more checks and balances on their authority.

DCF DID NOT go out there without a judge's authorization!
DCF lies a lot to sympathetic judges..."for the good of the children".

We have gone from due process, where a parent would be given opportunity to address charges of being "unfit", to today's COLOR OF LAW actions, where the DCFS becomes judge/jury/enforcer and grabs kids without just cause due to the federal "bounties" they receive.

Certainly Berkshire County has more than its share of substance abusing lowlife ne'er do well "parents". I have experienced first hand the effects of having them in the neighborhood. But that does not give the "authorities" the right to arbitrarily confiscate their children without due process in a court of law -- and I don't mean "Family Court" which is a sham.

I wonder how many posters here are aware of the number of pedophile child abusers who are employed in Child "Protective" Services nationwide. Or of how many of the children taken into custody to "protect" them are put on regular doses of multiple mind altering drugs. Or of how many of them find their way into situations where they become sexually abused, even child prostitutes the like of which were used in Barney Frank's Maryland brothel.

If ever an agency merited thorough investigation it is the child grabbers, who do not seem to truly have the best interests of the rapidly deteriorating family unit at heart.

I know people at DCF and they had the proper paper work!!! This child had been living with 2 parents and the only food in the house when DCF investigated was 1/2 gallons of VODKA!!!! I also know the Simonettas did not pass a cory check because of past problems, thats why the child was removed.

I know someone at dcf in Pittsfield and I would not trust her or her coworkers. They do not like to admit they make mistakes. They are overloaded with so many false allegations it is crazy. Anyone can make false allegations against anyone. It happened to myself.

None one knows anything besides what was stated or possibly missed stated in the paper. if the department didnt have the right to remove the child then why was it allowed to occur?

If there was such an emergency to remove this child from danger, wouldn't DSS have all the paperwork in order to save this girl?
If the PPD was doing their job properly, wouldn't they check that DSS had documents authorizing the child's removal?
If the DA was doing his job, wouldn't he see that the two angencies acted wrong and dismiss the charges?

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Sagittarius

You're in the mood to spend today, especially on the spur of the moment. Be careful if you can't afford to make any impulse purchases, because a lack of cash won't stop you! If you do decide to splash out on something, you may be disappointed when you get it home and you might even decide to take it back.
