Custody dispute at center of trial

Pittsfield police doing what they want to do. sad day and they arrest 2 older people that are trying to help the child and wouldn't let a cop
in becuase the DCf wouldn't present them with the right paper work and the police kick the door down on the word of dcf who didn't have right paper work Still to show the cop or they had none. Either or this is just another case for internal affairs to step in and look into the ppd and how they do whatever they want.If I was Mr. & Mrs. Simonetta I would be filling a complaint with the attorney genereal becuase the local justice system is a joke and won't look into the strong arming the police do .. Becuase obviously they where fit to take care of the kid they gave them custody next day still after being arrested the day before.

DCF is more powerful than the Gestapo. Whatever they tell the cops -- with or without documentation -- is The Gospel and all heretics must be destroyed. Now shut up and drink your Kool-Aid.

It was the kid's father's parents that got custody. The kid's mother's parents are in court.

How can the custody dispute be at the center of the trial when the DA objected and the judge has not yet ruled on allowing the testimony? The headline is misleading and actually an outright lie. Typical Eagle coverage.

If the defense wants to include certain testimony and the prosecution wants to exclude it, that puts it at "the center of the trial".

The trial process includes all evidentiary motions.

I have no doubt that the prosecution will get the defense evidence excluded from the trial, because they have the complicity of our corrupt and tyrannical courts. If the police showed up without the right paperwork, the defendants were entitled to shoot the f-ing place up, as far as I am concerned. This would go for searches too - if the police show up with no warrant, or with a warrant for the wrong address [as they often do] as far as I am concerned the cops can either leave and get the right paperwork or the homeowner should have open season on the cops if they try to force their way in anyway. Without the right paperwork, the cops aren't actually cops - they're just another group of home invaders.

I think the grandparents, are the parents of that nut that walks around town with the Nazi helmet and bullet proof vest on, and carries big knives. Ha they shouldn't be able to have custody of a dog!

DCF DID NOT go out there without a judge's authorization!

This all could have been avoided had the parents of this little girl had gotten there sh@t together, grown up and be responsible adults/parents. Don't blame other people for your short commings.

Well there is obviously a reason why NO ONE sees these people fit to take care of the child. Im sure shes better off, they all sound like a bunch of losers

The DCF is such a joke. They hurt more families than they help. They should be shut down........

If they had the paperwork why didn't they produce it at the time. Also there was no mention of the injuries this family sustained. Something is not right with this whole case.

We are willing to help this family. CPS is out of control! When will people of this great nation realize that CPS is seldom held accountable and that they are not taking children from abusive environment, but are instead ripping children from loving families. It happens everyday all across the nation. Some children are truly abused, however the vast majority of them are NOT abused!
The social worker and police should all be suspended without pay. I hope that these grandparents contact us, because we would love to help them file suit against these rogue workers.

This is why I love blogs, people who knwo nothing of the facts can say whatever they want and people will actually believe them.

DCF can take a child on an administrative hold without a judge's order. They would only need to give the administrative hold paperwork to the child's legal guardian, not to the grandparents.

NO PAPER WORK--I believe that they are innocent and did the right thing not to allow the child to be taken, Our legal system is built on proof, if you don't provide proof as to your legal right to take a child from a household, then hell be damned if you would take ANY child in my care from my household without SOMEONE getting shot.
