From Dreams of My Father, " I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER'S RACE". Barack Obama

From 'Dreams of my Father', "The emotion between the races could never be pure, even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race (WHITE) would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart." Barack Obama

From Dreams Of My Father: "That hate hadn't gone away," he wrote, BLAMING "WHITE PEOPLE some CRUEL, some IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives." Barack Obama

From 'Dreams Of My Father', "There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on,to show your LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES, TO STRIKE OUT and name names" Barack Obama

"What I value most about Pastor Wright is not his day-to-day political advice," Obama said. "He's much more of a sounding board for me to make sure that I am speaking as truthfully about what I believe as possible and that I'm not losing myself in some of the hype and hoopla and stress that's involved in national politics."

I agree; I don't believe that the majority of Obama supporters have even cracked open his book. This autobiography does not match up to the man everyone is cheering on at campaign speeches at college campuses. This book gives us an answer to why he would attend a church that would preach hate for over 20 years- because that is who he is. Obama is banking on the fact that most of his supporters make their voting choice on looks, smooth talk, and broad phrases that carry no real substance. This book could be the crack in the boat that sinks the Obama ship...ironic. Obama is not only bad for America, but he is bad for the world.

"I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER'S RACE" - Whites have treated blacks with prejudice for years, his animosity is because of that.

"The emotion between the races could never be pure, even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race (WHITE) would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart." - True! Because white people have always opressed black people. WHITE people have made it menacing, alien, and apart by the way we have treated black people!

"That hate hadn't gone away," he wrote, BLAMING "WHITE PEOPLE some CRUEL, some IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives." - White people bred hate towards blacks out of ignorance and intolerance and in many parts of the country it still exists.

"There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on,to show your LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES, TO STRIKE OUT and name names" - I'm sure they did travel in packs, FOR SAFETY! In a time of organizations like the KKK what single black person would want to travel alone anywhere where there is a majority of ingnorant, intolerant, bigots walking around?

"What I value most about Pastor Wright is not his day-to-day political advice," Obama said. "He's much more of a sounding board for me to make sure that I am speaking as truthfully about what I believe as possible and that I'm not losing myself in some of the hype and hoopla and stress that's involved in national politics." Pastor Wright may have said things that are controversial but you can't make a blanket statement that he preached hate constantly for 20 years. Black people are pissed off because this country is still very prejudice. Illegal aliens get treated better in this country than blacks do!

I'd suggest you two crack open his book. Then, if you even do that, view it from a viewpoint than your narrow minded, ignorant, and intolerant, white elitest attitude. Celebrate diversity! btw, before you make another ignorant assumption, I'M WHITE!!:oP

A good day to you, Anit-Moron. Many of your comments I agree with. Southwestern PA is quite intolerant, breeds hatred toward blacks, hispanics, Jewish people, and in some places Catholics. The KKK is active in parts of Southwestern PA. That is scary to me for such prejudice, hatred and ignorance to encourage more of the same from residents. The Blacks who are frustrated w/ the White system whom I know have chosen to work in spite of this very same system. They've had to work harder to prove themselves. Wrong? Yes. Yet, they demonstrate that the system can be beat. Mexicans whom I've come to know in Mexico are angry and ashamed of the illegals for they know that many of the illegals are criminals. The Mexican prisons are overflowing; so, the gov't "winks" at the illegals crossing over to the U.S.A. Some of the Native American nations and tribes have discovered that gambling casinos is another way to beat the White system. Just some of my thoughts. Take what you like and leave the rest.

I don't care if you are white or black Anti-Moron, you are one of the biggest racists I have read on recently. Agreed, there is racism today in America, but it exists in every race. I cannot believe that a racist, hate and blame America first, extremely clueless candidate has a chance to be president because his silver tongue (tele-prompted tongue) This country is too great and I will gladly no longer where it's uniform if Barack becomes president.

I think that this country is scared of an African American running this country. Is it because they are scared of things changing for the Black Americans? Are they scared that he will slow down the number of blacks going to jail for the same crimes that whites are commiting but getting a slap on the hand? Are they afraid that maybe now everyone will see that Blacks are just as superior as the Whites? Or is it just that Whites are scared of change?

It scares me alright. It scares me that a man with such prejudice might be in charge of our country. I don't care what color you are, when you're in a position, as he is, you CANNOT discriminate against any race, sex, religion, etc.
I am not scared of an African-American running our country. However, I am afraid that this might be the fall of our country.

Quote: "Pastor Wright may have said things that are controversial".

Using the word "may" in the above quote nullified anything else you "may" have written. You "know" Pastor Wright said controversial things.

You "know" he attempts to keep the racial hatred fires burning. You know from watching the videos of his addresses to the church congregation, that he is voicing what they want to hear - that every shortcoming in a black person's makeup, that every missed opportunity in a black person's life is the result of the white race's oppression of blacks. Black people are told they do not need to accept the responsibility for anything in their lives. White people are to blame.

Christian churches are on every corner, and each one has a pastor. Most pastors teach that because of God's love and by accepting Jesus as our savior, we will get to heaven. Evidently that message does not have the power to attract black people, because several big name black entertainers have said on television, that there are hundreds of Pastor Wrights scattered across the nation, spewing racial hatred from their pulpits. We white people just don't have a clue about what hotbeds of hatred black churches are.

Yes, Pastor Wright may have said some things that are controversial.

I am not 'scared' of an African-American running a Presidential Candidate who OPENLY hates another race. Period, end of sentence. Saying it's the fault of whites, well, go ahead. But what you are saying is that it is okay to hate another race if you feel your reason is valid. And you are saying it is okay to hate a whole race of people based on the actions of some. You can't have it both ways - if it's okay to hate ALL European-Americans, then it must be okay to hate ALL African-Americans.

If Barack would be bad for the world, why does he have overwhelming support from every corner of the earth in a recent poll where approximately 70% of people in other nations prefer him to McCain.

Maybe it's because McCain is a war-mongering, hypocritical bigot who, though rendering honorable service to this country some 40 years ago, has done little to be honorable since then.

The question comes down to this: take a chance on a man of a different race who repeatedly has his comments taken out of context from his books and his frequently credited with the beliefs of people he doesn't seek out but who embrace him as the savior of the country that Bush and McCain have led to the point of destruction. Let me be clear: you worry about Barack being the end. The truth is that another 4 years of McCain and Bush's policies will be the end of the country on every front- economically, educationally, environmentally, internationally.

So you can take Barack, the savior, who will save this country from the point of destruction that Bush, McCain, and his blind, bigot, and racist evangelical supporters have pushed us too. Or you can vote to continue 4 more years of failed economic policies, overburdening of taxes on the poor while the rich take free rides on the tax system, the continuance of an illegal war that each day makes America less safe by further creating resentment and hatred in the middle east, the continued disassembling and destruction of the American education system (everything from elementary to high school), and the continued disregard for the environment that could possible lead to the polar ice cap to melt this summer for the FIRST TIME IN MODERN HISTORY by a hot-headed, ignorant, senile old man who cant remember the names of our allies and enemies in the middle east.

For me, the choice is easy. 80% of the country realize the country is going down the wrong track. If you have any functioning brain or care about America, you will vote for Barack. If not, American will be a Chinese territory in the next 20 years (if not sooner, due to the overwhelming debt we've been settled with by Bush's illegal war, how can we expect to stand up to an emerging power when they own the lease to the house)

Make the right choice. Get over your racist tendencies like I have, and vote for the hope of America.

Remember this - advice from my mother - You can trust a black man, but, never, never, trust a high yellow.

Proving out to be good advice as I watch what's going on. This is good advice for our black friends as well as our white ones. Remember, Obama's lineage has no slavery, no oppression (other than the normal black experience) and we all assume that his education and all of his employment has been at public expense. His campaign is on donations. He's done very well for himself using other peoples money. Hyde Park is very upscale. He's just not your average Chi Town boy who pulled himself out of the Southside.

It makes me wonder about his muslim upbringing. And being raised overseas. Where did the money come from exactly?

Anyway, every time he says anything off the teleprompter he makes a fool of himself. Wouldn't it be ironic if he were elected and everyone found out that he's not as bright as they thought.
