Oh, I don't know, perhaps it was the collapse of the steel industry and the loss of many well paying manufacturing jobs, or the foundering national airline industry that lead to the loss of a major hub, and again, many well paying jobs. And both industry are well known for their multiplyer effect on jobs. The need to enhance city revenues is more a symptom of that decline than the cause. But, hey, if we can use it as an excuse to dispense a little partisan vitrol rather than to spark a constructive dialogue, well, OK... but then that is the way of a true cynic, I guess.

AHa - a true believer in government. Regulate and tax them until they leave and then blame them for leaving! Use safety, environmental issues, health issues and costs to make it impossible and then blame them for being impossible. They have killed the golden goose, taken her eggs for their pensions, consumed her flesh and gave her feathers to the welfare state and they blame her for not being more generous.

Whoop De Doo - one party rule. For forty years they have encouraged the education industry and the health care industry to grow and settle in here, and, now that they've got them, they go after them also. They will leave. Business goes where it is treated well. These businesses will relocate and the "Party" will spin it as though they are ingrates. It's never a politicians fault.

Daily Horoscope for November 29

Sagittarius

Pay attention to your health as the Moon enters Taurus and your sixth house of health and service today; it might be time for a check up. With Neptune and Jupiter in your third house, nervous tension could be leading you into bad habits that will undermine your health. If you feel stressed out, reach for your athletic shoes instead of a double martini and you'll be happy with the results.
