While the police may have overstepped their bounds a bit in executing this warrent, the scumbag involved here has a considerable criminal record, and is serving time for the very offense he was arrested for in this incident. And, so one must allow for the caution most city police exercise since dealing with that uber scumbag, Poplawski, who richly deserves his death sentence.

No reason for the 'no knock warrant', if this guy beat up any regular citizen, it would not have been issued.

This was the police getting even, and they abused their authority and ignored the Civil Rights of the other occupants of this home.

They apprehended him right away without any incident, no need to interrogate a 10 year old naked boy - that is just perverse and sick.

The warrent is issued by a judge- NOT the police. And this guy certainly was NOT a regular citizen; that he felt up to taking on law enforcement is disturbing in and of itself, and is why the judge probably granted the warrent.

But I will agree, the sins of the father should NOT be visited upon the son.

So off duty cops drinking at a bar at 3AM deserve special treatment?

When I say 'regular citizen', I mean if he would have beat up a normal - non-law enforcement or politically connected person, they would have NEVER done this.

Anyone who knows the South side knows that the Polish Army Veterans Association is where you go after 2 to keep drinking. It is 'private'- pay 2 dollars - and you are a lifetime member.

He did not 'take on' law enforcement, who knows what went down, but he did not assault a uniformed on duty officer who was representing the law, it was a 3:00 AM bar fight.

Knowing how cocky and untouchable they think they are, the cop probably started it.

First, I did not advocate any special treatment for anyone.

Second, the venue of the fight is irrelevant, unless you subscribe to the principle of guilt by association.

And, finally, if you don't know what happened, how do you know he "didn't take on law enforcement?" Or that the cop "probably started it?" Be just a wee bit consistent in your arguments if you hope to have any credibility. Given his record, one might assume he's familiar with the local cops, bubba.

I do, in fact know a good many police officers; and it is also clear the officer involved got his ass kicked by the perpetrator.

I will simply note here, for your consideration, that a fundamental principal of physics states that for every action, there will be an equal and opposite reaction... and that principal has some currency in explaining human behavior as well. Particularly when the behavior of those involved is fueled by alcohol.

Or when that behavior is alternatively fueled by vestigal tribal bonds and testosterone.

I had not made any previous posts here on this section, I made at least one post on another section of this forum and some jerk is calling itself Free Thinker Sux, the really meaning "sucks". The monster is incinuating that you are not allowed, according to him(or her; porbably a him,) to be a free thinker. He's full of you know what. And furthermore, he will not stop us free thinkers from posting.
