is pittsburg ghetto?

I heard that Pittsburg is a very dangerous city to live in. Is that true?

Its not a dangerous city. Every town has its "ghetto" areas. Also, it depends on where in Pittsburg your planning on moving.

I am I was raised in San Francisco the Mission and Daly City, Pittsburg, is nothin compare to the city and it doesn't even compare to the Tenderloin in S.F.!

I've lived here for about six years, it's more hype than anything else.

oh ok because im moving near the El Pueblo housing area. Hopefuly its not that bad.

PIttsburg is hella ghetto!!i wouldnt move there.....my cousin used to live there and they would even deliver pizza to his area after 6!! wat kind of crap is that?? And there was always rowdy young black males doing donuts with their cars infront of his house. And at night when your driving in his neighborhood drug dealers would walk up to my car and ask me if i wanted to buy any drugs from them like if they were selling something legal! On top of that the neighborhood had their own police office with 2 police cars from the PPD. JUST FOR THAT NEIGHBORHOOD! It was like if i was in Oakland or Richmond! Theres allot more stuff that hapened while he lived there like people runing threw his backyard to get away from police.And all we heard were gunshots at night and sirens.Good luck moving there!

I have lived here for ten yrs and Pittsburg has not seen bad. Yes, Pittsburg is dealin with crack, homelessness just like the big cities. When your kids cannot walk to school because of shootings that is bad. When you cannot go to the store in fear you purse will be snatched, thats bad.
Yes, a few bad apples can spoil the city if you let it. If Pittsburg Police stay on top of the game they can control it before it gets out of hand.

If Pitt is bad check out all the new folks movin in Antioch. Its gettin much worse there then Pitt. You can not go to the local burger king without bunchies of teens hangin out all times of hours. Lone tree is now called black tree, go figure.

about all those new people moving into antioch isnt just happenin in antioch. its also hapening in tracy, lathrop and parts of stockton. And its really bad in stockton because the Gang members and others in Stockton do not like the bay area at all.And the ppl that move in from the bay area dont like the people from stockton.SOo they are always fighting and sooting eachother oout here. Antioch aint sh*t compared to wats hapening out here. and its been going on for years already.

Developers are getting smart. Its all about making money. New homes, apartments and condos are coming up slowly in Pitt, Antioch and other cities near by. But, at the same time rent isn't cheap anymore. So they drive all the low income people out towards poor side of Antioch, Oakley, Stockton and Modesto Area. So in the future Pitt is gonna be a pretty expensive place to live in. If they can't afford it, they move to the next cheapest city or town. I had to admit Stockton, Modesto, Merced. Its pretty cheap down there compare to this area.

Ugh.. I was looking at the New Houses in Vista Del Mar in Pittsburg but now I'm afraid! I drove through Antioch and said thanks but no thanks.
