Excellent commentary Atlanta Traveler. You sound like a history teacher/professor. It's funny to see all the name calling, hatred and black racism come out when factual historical truth is spoken. Blacks don't want to hear the truth because the "I am victim" excuse for every challenge in life goes out the window. Racism exists in every nationality but I have to admit that the worst ones I've met have been black.

The true idiots responding here are the ones that can only resort to name calling versus discussing the topic. Typical "dumb shit" tactic when you can't think of any true arguments.

And yet here you are with some name calling of your own. Could it be that when you mentioned "TRUE IDIOT' that you were looking into a mirror?

Hey I gotta change the subject to cool things down a bit,ok?

How big a house did you say you were building in Mississippi(I think that was the state)....?

Has the architect already drawn up the plans?

And are you thinking about using solar as a means of reducing your electric bill?

No. The house is in Alabama. Where did you get Mississippi from, lol? It's three bedrooms and three and 1/2 bathrooms. I require each bedroom to have it's own bath. It's much smaller than my house here in Georgia though. And no,I'm not using solar or anything special like that. But in Bama the utilities tend not to be that much by comparison. By the way, it's only 2700 square feet. I have a pool here in Georgia and I had not intended to have one at my new house in Bama but I'm letting Jeremy talk me into having one put in, I can't swim so I have no need of a pool except for entertaining my friends. Jeremy gets a kick out of it though. So I may relent and have one put in just for him though he really, and I mean really is not looking forward to moving to Bama. But as I said, when I retire in about 10 more years,( I'll be 55)I'm moving to Bama with or without him and I'm selling this big assed house we're living in now.

And that's just it too. I have a serious phobia of water coming over my head. It makes me panic/ I remember when I got baptized and the preacher laid me back in that water, you should have seen me fighting flailing trying to come up outta that water,LOL. I almost drowned the preacher. Jeremy has talked about trying to teach me how to swim and I told him not unless you want to get half drowned trying to teach me.

Who told you that it was hotter in Bama than here in Georgia? I have a lot of family there and I spent many summervacations there when I was a kid. I fell in love with Bama. Yes, my father was also a preacher. Growing up as a kid, studying the Bible was mandatory in my house. I think that may have had something to do with the way my father reacted when I came out to him and mom. I almost got dis-inherited and the fact that I decided not to attend medical school as he had planned just added fuel to the fire. He came around though and I really miss him even though he was still disappointed that his only son was...well, you know!

The only negative thing I can say about him is that he strongly opposed homosexuality. I am sure it hurt him so much that I turned out to be one but honestly,it was not my intemtion to deliberately cause him that pain. I didn't choose to turn out the way I did. It just happened. I remember many times apologizing to my father for being what I am. Even now when I talk about our father/son relationship,it chokes me up. I love my father very much. He went above and beyond the call of duty to provide for my future. I owe him everything but I can't change who I am. And why am I telling you this TWC?

I remember times when I would try to put myself in my fathers place and imagine if I was straight and had a son and one day he came to me and told me he likes men. How would I react? How would I feel? I can't imagine how it feels to be macho and having your son, your only son come to you and say that he's attracted to men. I honestly can't.
