This road is a death trap waiting to happen, you got alot of people that travel that road and one day someone is going to get killed if this damn state don't do something about this road!!

Actually another wife your wrong! The road is a county road! It is even a county road all the way across it to the welch side! So that would make it the state's duty to keep it up and maintain it!

The road is used for the soul purpose of going to and from work, there are no tax paying residences on the road so the county does not have to maintain it to a high degree, its classified as a dirt road, it only has to be scrapped and graveled, not paved, if you don't believe it go to the state road garage and ask. The coal company, USSteel paid to the original paving back in 1979, and the pavement was 12 inchs thick, thats the reason its lasted so long, I know this because I was there, and the coal company does pay to maintain it. You ever seen a state road truck on it? Nope.

They even have White Oak posted which was the county road. Another secret deal, county road becomes private property of US Steel, first mine owner.

I think they need to worry about the main roads first. Pineville to Baileysville is horrible and is one of the heaviest traveled roads in the county. I saw where Indian Creek has been newly paved. What is going on when those roads take priority over main ones? Politics as usual in this county and state. The road from Glover to Marianna looks like a cow path where Pineville water tore it up to install water lines and then just left it. And people wonder why everybody leaves this godforsaken place.

i work there to and the state maintains that road all the way to the bridge right before the plant then the mines has the rest up the holler to maintain only because the off road trucks run that part and dont have to register if off road

This road is county road and needs taken care of and guardrail put up. Seen a young man run over the hill almost in the crek the other morning a deer jumped out in front of him. I was right behind him going to work it was scary. He stopped like a foot from going in the creek!
