Financial State of Wilcox county

I agree that we need to fix the financial shape that this county is in. How about we get the state to come in and lets make all the land be assessed the same way. Lets assess ALL land fairly, and not how artificially low things are. How about we also put people that are not corrupt on the board of commissioners. Pee Wee needs to calm down with what he is doing before the state ethics board investigates him, on top of the IRS and SSA. I wonder if he could hold up to that scrutiny. I know his farmer buddies could not hold up to that level of scrutiny from the EPD. According to figures from Dodge co, Turner co, and Crisp Co,our ambulance service costs less than theirs does, and they all have the same amount of crews on duty as Wilcox does. Only difference is, and these are figures from the courthosue, our ambulance service personell are tied up 242 days a year, and are on duty and on call for 5808 hours a year. I dont know about yall, but I dont wanna work that many hours. If Pee Wee and his cronies keep this up, they are gonna ruin the Sherrifs Office and Ambulance service.

i am david brown wicox county citizen and tax payer! I have made federal taxes increase because of my disability, but as you can see I wear my neck brace when i have pain which is about every other day. I get my info. From Ms Mary at the courthouse. She is very helpful. Its ok for her to come to those meetings on our tax payers money because she helps us the county. She is very smart woman. Ms Betty doesnt mind. If you tax payers would like we can get her to take sick leave whhen attending the meetings. Carlton just let us all know. You can put an ad in the dispatch or you can tell it at first baptist. I know they are glad to have you there. Cedar creek lost money but they lost a good christian man as well! Come to our meetings his words are like honey!

Why do people get so upset when concerned citizens start looking into plublic affairs? I will pesonally investigate how these elected officials conduct business. I will not be intimidated by the sheriff or his deputies. It is obvious how ignorant these elected officials are. They posses no proclivity to politics.
To set the record straight the commisioners were going to raise property taxes. People have not been getting involved because the taxes have not been placing a burden on the citizens. But since the hard economic times came upon us and our taxes went up it got our attention. So now we will be involved.
Only the drunks, drug addicts,m or people who are kin to these officials are the ones not getting involved. Get clean so you want have to live scared. Its great to live free I can oppose anyone!
