N E Cape Coral?

What kind of area is North East Cape Coral as far as crime and such?

It sucks. If Cape Coral had a ghetto, NE Cape would be it. 80% rentals. Multiple people/family members sharing houses. Junk cars littering driveways. Drugs.... Grow houses...

That explains why such nice looking houses are going so cheap.

If you lived here, you'd see that they're really not that nice. I'm sure they make them look great on the computer, but they were threw together as fast and as cheaply as possible. Not to mention some were made with 'Chinese Drywall.'(Google it)

N. Cape was pretty much undeveloped until about 7 years ago then a few greedy home builders bought up as many lots as they could for somewhere between $1,000 -$4,000. They put up houses that cost them approximately $30,000 to build and were selling them for over $200,000.

Sadly, people were snatching them up and then the housing market crashed. Now those same houses are going for well under $100,000.

The builders all went bankrupt and 1,000's of people in the construction business were laid off.

We have the biggest foreclosure rate and unemployment rate in the country.

Unless you already have $$$ or have a stable job lined up, you would probably regret moving here.

Hey "All concerned citizens" -Just another tip - the City Department of Public works , Just had a $700.00 slide security pass put in a regular coffee cabinet.YES I Said $ 700.00 to lock up coffee ,who the heck approved this wreckless spending again of OUR money?. This was approved by Public works AND a supervisor at Facilities Maintenance..Hmmmm and their screaming about money and budget????? I would like for the council to investigate the names of who this may be,we can cut THEM out of our budget!!!

Apparently someone turned this into the city auditors office.
And these same people are involved in the irresponsible decision with the UEP.I'd like the people to bring these lack of trust issues to the attention of council.So Pass the word,I'd Like a reasonable answer to this.

And why? Please forward to the whole team .

Thank you, that is very informative. I knew that old saying "If it sounds to good to be true" had to fit here.

Just another case of greed and people living beyond their means.

Don't forget- if you move to N.E. Cape Coral you'll be hit with a $17,000.00 bill to have city water hooked up to your house. The streets look like WW3 with all of the construction.
