they probaly are bird mites, and yes thay can cause upper respitory problems. You need to remove and fabric: curtains, clothes & bedding and wash it the the hottest possible water, then dry them for a long time( not just until are dry but let them get so hot you have to let the cool down before you can touch them. If you have carpet you will need to get a spray, not sure of the name, but I think a lice spray will work and cover the carpet, then steam clean it
You need to take this pretty seriously bird mites can cause seriouse life time lung and eye issue for you and your childrem, especialy if it was a wild bird nest.(We like to find & collect them too, but we keep then in a outbuilding and wash hands after touching.) Watch your son to make sure he does not develope weezing or cough, if so i would have him examined. We do not have a natrual immunity againest these animal viruses. The younger the personis the more susceptible they are. If you have small children most likely it will effect them mor so than the adults

good advice,if they are bird mites, any home type spray, will kill them..but handling a wild bird nest is not a good idea.the mites are the least dangerous of the things you need to worry about,if you get the mites on you, just rub down in baby oil,let it sit for about 30 min.then shower off..

chicken mites are harder to kill than mites found on wild birds..off course bird mites will get on chickens to..best way to kill them on chickens is simple garden dust[seven] mixed up in a pan of real dry dirt, chickens love to scratch and take a dust bath..and while dusting off, they kill the mites..if the bird mites has got into the carpet in your house, sprinkle garden dust,[the kind labeled for pet and garden use,on the carpet, let it sit for a while, longer is better, then vacuum it up..

You need to treat your appostured furniture also. You may be able to use the indoor-house bombs for roaches. It is supposed to be safe to human, and IF it will kill a roach it should kill a mite.

if the mites have been on the kid,and the skin shows any sign of redness or irritation i would recommend seeing a doctor for a accurate diagnoses...importain thing would be to make sure they are not mange mites which can cause serious medical problems.as a general rule bird mites are almost harmless to humans..matter of fact depending on your diet, human blood could kill them..i used to eat a lot of salt and garlic when working around chickens for that reason..i am taking medicine now for diabetes and bone problems,,one benefit i found this summer,is it kills ticks,,when one gets on me,it is dead by the time i find it..

no bird mites do not get under the skin, dog mites will, they cause the so called mange in dogs or humans,,and to treat them.the dry crust skin must be scraped away..it is really a hard job on dogs..you must be extra carefull not to get infected your self..i am treating a pup that was dumped out right now, been working on him several weeks, allmost got him cured, most of his hair is growing back..if you think you might have mites under your skin, you need to seek medical help.as soon as posible,it is a really serious medical problum, and will get worse unless treated, could be life threating.there are also hog mites, they can only live on human or hogs..and are easy to treat..

no its a stray looks like Sheppard.however i got a pit, will have pups in about a month.pups will sell at 150 a pup.so i think i will keep her.really the pit is a gentle dog.lives outside in the fence..how ever i got a dog that lives inside.he will kill any one breaking in,he can go from friendly to bitch in one second.you do know that in most towns that out law pits and other viscous dogs, the crime rate goes up..nothing a thief or home invader hates like a mean dog..often the thiefs are the ones behind the dog bans..and in duck town that is about the whole town,,hope your car never breaks down around there..

scabies most often are from dogs with mange,,.the medicine needed to treat them are called, scabicides.they are only available by prescription..if you think you have scabies, refer to the center for disease control web site. [CDC].most importation get a doctor,,home treatments can lead to staff infection.if the scabies don't clear up with the pills the doctor gives you in a few days he will send you to a specialist..who might have to remove the infested skin..got a friend in dayton going thru the treatment right now,,thank god she saw the doctor before it got worse..

these pups will be going to AK. where they will be used to hunt deer..only in tn would people use a pit for guard dogs..most pits are not good guard dogs,,few true pits would bite a human,,in the fighting world they are called man fighters, and no good for the pit..most of them have been culled out..they are used in a lot of states for deer and bear hunting..my female pit would not bite any one..however i got another dog that will..he is not a pit..but a guard dog..
