Well, I was kind of hoping that people would refrain from posting on this thread so that it would sink to the bottom of the list. Oh well. Religion is not a complete waste of time. You must have that confused with your opinions.

Religion is a waste of time for some people, and a good use of time for others. It's a personal decision.

I realize this is your feeble attempt at humor, so have at it! However, you (to say the least) don't have a clue about what you are saying. Who knows, someday a time may come in your life that you would be more respectful (and thankful) for some of these "misfits" when you might need help, someone to say a prayer for you when the unforeseeable/tragedy, etc. might happen to you/your family and you might not feel you have anywhere to turn and as for farming, honey, don't bite the hand that could feed you when you might not have your mouth full. If I were you, I'd be very careful with my attitude because none of us know the future and CROW IS REALLY HARD TO SWALLOW. May God bless your life and enjoy every day that you are given.

You should always chew your food then maybe that crow wouldn't be so hard to swallow.

Praying for something is almost as good as wishing something were true. They sound nice, but they have absolutely no impact on the real world and I would prefer people actually HELP others instead of simply saying something in your head and pretending you have done something. This hand is not feeding anyone, but it is oppressing many

A prayer from a Christian, in faith, availeth much. Maybe something is lacking in one's life if he/she does not see the prayers answered. It is also possible the answer is "in a little while." The answer may also be ,"No." God knows what is best. We sure don't much of the time.I'd also rather be in a town where religion is still freely practiced. Little by little those rights are being snatched away.

A prayer doesnt accomplish anything in the real world. Simply saying in your head or out loud that you want something done will do absolutely nothing to get anything done. It is your actions that demonstrate to others that you wish for something better, not wishing to your imaginary friend. Did it ever occur to you that there is no god and everything just happens by probability? Not saying you have to believe it, but at least consider it. If god has a will and a purpose for your life, why bother praying? Doesnt asking god to change his plan just for you and your reasons seem kinda selfish?

Also, youre free to believe whatever fairytales you like and I support the freedom of ideas but I dont see where your rights are being taken away by also granting those rights to others

Good. Maybe alot of them can find time then to actually contribute to society instead of wasting so much time selling an invisible product

Sometimes we are too stubborn to do what God has planned fo us. God wants us to be saved and have eternal life because He loves us. We are instructed to make our needs be known according to the Bible, and for God's will to be done, not ours if it is not His will. I agree it is selfish to ask for things we don't really need, that is why we say, "God willing." Our wants and our needs are different things many times. Since God made the world and everything in it, even you, he would have no problem answering a "faithful" prayer according to His will. There is nothing in this world that I have ever seen that just happened by chance or"by probability." God spoke it all into existence according to His plan. I don't think He'd have any problem handling all of us at the same time. I have no problem believing that at all. I've seen Him in action enough times to trust Him. His guidance is one of the greatest things in which we could ask. His salvation is the very GREATEST thing. His guidance, if we follow it, often puts legs on our prayers. We don't need to sit back helpless refusing to have enough faith to do our part.

I can't wait for the day when we can round all those who practice a religion up and get them in a reeducation camp. That will be when we can move "Forward".

Patience is such a virtue..why do you even question Gods authority, ye of little faith? Is it because you put your Own justice before Gods?
