The ignorance as you say is amazing. People believe what they want to believe even when presented with facts. Obama hasnt destroyed coal. Look at the law Bush 41 signed. If people would criticaly look at issues not just blabber what they think and what they hear on that mouthpiece of lies Fox Misnews, we would be ao much better off. Good question as to what degree he has? I bet you none. Repeating a lie millions of times doesnt make it the truth. My mother lives in Texas and you should see the assult women are getting there from the GOP. I tell you, people are waking up. And screaming from rooftops blamibg Obama for all ills will shock yall Republicans come this election. People are not ignorant. Dont believe Fox which makes you believe the whole nation is anti Obama. Racism is ending whether you like it or not. Continue in your foolish jaber jab on how Obama is to blame for everything. Scream from the roof tops that silly botion of he was born in Kenya, he is a monkey, etc. Like that one FAT REUTHUGLICAN congressman who called Michelle fat. The man is like 350lbs. The hypocrisy of racists stinks to high heaven. Come sunday you are the first ones in Church. I agree, grow up.

Lol

I like the term Rethuglicans lol.

Thugs and people who refuse to think who follow them. No wonder Kentucky is so behind and poor. Ignorance.

And Republican, i mean Rethuglican lol, leaning states utilize more food stamps etc than blue states.

Why is that.
I forgot. Must be Obamas fault too.

The BLAME for the new EPA rules are solely on George H.W Bush. In 1993 he signed a new revision to the clean air act. It stated that coal fired power plants within 10 years could no longer release heavy metals. Ten years later (2003) the new rules were extended by George W. Bush. That extension was signed for 10 more years to meet the new standards. During this time the EPA was sued by environmental groups for not enforcing the 1993 new laws. The Supreme Court ruled that no further extensions of the 1993 laws could be granted. So Obama can not do anything to stop the new EPA laws that the Bush's signed.
No offense, my friend, but George W. Bush wasn't yet president, in 1993. Bill Clinton was. G.W. may have extended this, but it doesn't look like he was initially responsible for it. Have a great day!

Actually you have your facts a-bit messed up there Mr. Owner! 1993 was the year Bill (slick willie) Clinton signed NAFTA into law and sold all our collective ass'es down the river! That is something Obama could do something about, but has he? And yes so could have W.

Correction noted. Too many Bush's. Bush 41 signed the new clean air act in 1990 to go into effect in 2000. Bush 43 signed the extension in 2003 to allow 10 more years for power plants to meet the new requirements. i.e. 2013. So when the coal plants and mines start closing just blame the correct Presidents that caused it to happen.
George Herbert Walker Bush (born June 12, 1924) is an American politician who served as the 41st President of the United States (198993). He had previously served as the 43rd Vice President of the United States (198189), a congressman, an ambassador, and Director of Central Intelligence.
.
On this day in history, December 15, 1990, President George H.W. Bush signed the Clean Air Act Amendments, which focused on curbing acid rain, ozone depletion, industrial emissions of toxic chemicals, and urban smog.

There is some truth in posting about the clean air act, about the mild spring and past winter calling for less energy, but all please remember Obama said he would kill coal.He does control the EPA and they are the ones controlling the emissions level for all industry. This is where Obama does have control and where the emissions decided by the EPA cause many to have to convert to natural gas. Also, the EPA changes the requirements and postpones their rulings forcing companies to be in limbo. Now the fracturing method to get natural gas is involving use of injection, breaking up the shale to release the gas,and there are some claim this causes pollution. The amount of gas recovered has been extraordinary, the price has gone down as there is an abundance of this gas.It is cleaner,no carbon emissions. But,China and the coal industry has come up with the ability to burn clean coal and limit emissions. The scrubbing, the use of lime and chemicals delete metal emissions and carbon way down. This makes no impression on the EPA which Obama controls. He will still kill coal, and while this costs the American industry and the American people more than can be afforded,it does clean the air,but not to the extent rational use of coal could also do.And coal is cheaper than gas and in greater abundance.Coal mines will continue to close, energy will continue to increase in price, manufacturing will continue to go to where it is cheaper to produce and this all costs the American people.

If we have a hot summer.air conditioning calling for great amounts of electric energy,do not be surprised if the grid can not meet the needs and we have black outs or shortages of energy.

I have warned KY of this since 2007, and I recently created this post:

http://www.topix.com/forum/city/east-mcdowell...

and a link to the Floyd county times article...and my own comments on that "Editorial page". Since Obama has been POTUS he has used the Democratic Party in DC to 'strangle' Americans with higher energy costs caused by his policy initiatives and mandates!

I'm with you all the way to the voting booth Whitehair!

Are you referring to President Obama that was endorsed by the United Coal Workers of America? Strange they would endorse someone that said he would kill coal.
The United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) endorsed Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) for President of the United States after a unanimous vote of the union's National Council of the Coal Miners' Political Action Committee (COMPAC) in favor of the endorsement.
"We are extremely proud to make this endorsement today," UMWA International President Cecil E. Roberts said today. "Sen. Obama shares the values of UMWA members and our families. He understands and will fight for the needs our members have today and the hopes our members have for a secure future for themselves and their families.

Republicans have run out of odeas and are staring defeat in Nov and they are soooooo scared caise to them itvreflects one thing.... Loss of white male power. Thats what scares you really. Im happy i dont share bigoted views. Im white n married to a white woman with ason.married to a Phillipino and my eldest daughter second marriage is to an African American male nurse who has treated her n the kids soooooo much better than her fellow white husband did.
Obama is winning this yr. You can run to the mountains with all your bigoted friends whos minds are stuck in 1800. You will see another African American president, a Latino president, a woman president....... Lock yourselves in your mountains least the presidents who are not white male catch you and eat you. Dont cross the bridge on the way to the mountan either. The non white male presidents we will soon have are trolls.
