If I read correctly magic jack there have already been 3 or 4 strong shakers around the world today. Though I do need to look at it closer, it appears to me that quakes on one side of the globe are being answered shortly by quakes on the other side of the globe.

Don't take my word for that, as I just briefly looked at the info.

One morning the husband came back from fishing, after getting up real early that morning, and took a nap. He was snoring very loudly, so the wife decided to take the boat out and read on the lake. She was not familiar with the lake so she rowed out and anchored the boat and started reading her book.
Along comes the sheriff in his boat, pulls up alongside and asks her what she is doing.
She says, "Reading my book."
He tells her she is in a restricted fishing area and she replies that she is not fishing.
He says, "But you have all this equipment - I will have to take you in and write you up."
She says, "If you do that, I will charge you with rape."
He says "But I didn’t even touch you..."
She says, "Yes, but you have all the equipment..."

OK I just found this. I'm going to try to check into things to see if a trend I thought I was seeing is indeed a real deal.

Prepper you should see my giant zucchini plants. If you are still reading please answer something. How many leaves can I safely remove from my plants that are beginning to shade out my tomatoes,
and green peppers? I have removed one leaf from each of three different plants. Two plants need two more removed from each.
It's my first time doing a garden, so I am still learning.
I guess you are doing the right thing. Remove a leaf, or two if you feel comfortable, and wait and see if it is causing a problem. I have my zucchini a good distance away from my tomatoes and peppers.

Kestrels.

I wonder what happened to all the Kestrels. They are a small falcon and I used to see them all the time sitting on road signs or on tree limbs near the road. 20 years ago they seemed to be every where. I haven't seem more than a couple in the last five years or so.

Must have been a bad one in Afghanistan. It killed several people and buried 20 houses.
Afghan officials: More than 20 houses buried in quake; scores feared dead

KABUL, Afghanistan — Scores of people are feared dead in an earthquake and landslide that buried 20 houses in northern Afghanistan on Monday, officials said.

Details of the destruction were slow to emerge from the remote district.

Rescuers have so far pulled two women’s bodies from the rubble of the landslide in Baghlan province and expect many others were buried, said provincial Gov. Abdul Majid. The U.N. confirmed one other death and said houses were destroyed across five districts.

An earthquake measuring a magnitude 5.4 struck the Hindu Kush region Monday morning, followed by a 5.7 quake, the U.S.

Geological Survey said. Both were felt as far away as the Afghan capital, Kabul, where buildings shook.

Baghlan province’s Burka district, the site of the landslide, is a remote collection of mountain villages. It takes more than two hours to drive the approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the provincial capital of Pul-e-Khumri to the area. There are no medical clinics in Burka, said Dr. Salim Rasouli, so medics and ambulances were sent from the nearest city.

“Right now our doctors, nurses and ambulances are at the site, helping people. As there is no communication system there, we cannot get the latest information on the casualties right now,” Rasouli said.

5.6 magnitude Earthquake rocks Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale on Monday jolted Pakistan's northwest province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The earthquake tremors were felt at about 10.20 am in the provincial capital of Peshawar and its adjoining areas, including Mardan, Charsadda and Nowshera, reported Xinhua citing the meteorological department.

The epicentre of the earthquake was located at 214 km northwest of the country's capital Islamabad in the Hindu Kush mountainous range along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border area.

The earthquake created panic among the people, but no loss of life was reported, according to the initial reports.

Northern and northwestern Pakistan is located in one of the most earthquake prone areas.

Geographically, Pakistan lies in the collision zone of the India tectonic plate to the south and the Eurasian plate to the north.

Speaking of trolls and disgusting people, do you think they will do the hack shack road when their done with the Georgia highway...

White trash meets litter: KKK wants to 'adopt' a highway

Photoblog: The KKK is alive and well in Virginia

Tribal elder's 'KKK' surgical scars spark outrage

School district pulls menu featuring 'KKK chicken'

You don't immediately think of the Ku Klux Klan when you think of social conscience (or any conscience, really), but the white supremacist organization has applied to "adopt" a Georgia highway. Participants in the state's 23-year-old Adopt-A-Highway program are responsible for keeping their one-mile stretch of road litter-free. The KKK's application puts the state in an awkward position: Either deny the request and face a possible legal battle or end the highway beautification program.(The state of Missouri chose option one and lost in court.) "We just want to clean up the doggone road," Harley Hanson, the exalted cyclops (WTF, seriously?) of the Klan's Realm of Georgia, said. Can they just trash themselves instead?

http://now.msn.com/now/0611-kkk-adopt-highway

Yeah, I would put the unatroll patrol right up there with white trash and the KKK. Don't get much slimier than that.

Daily Horoscope for May 20

Taurus

If a friend has been bugging you recently, you are likely to have a few sharp words with them today. However, least said soonest mended, so don't labour the point or turn them against you. Besides, you have better things to do with your time now, such as taking part in a big gathering of likeminded people or having a long chat with one special person.
