Hope for Essex center

Full story: Baltimore Sun

A mostly closed shopping center in Essex could become the home of big-box retailers and a supermarket.

Really hope someone breathes new life into this shopping center. It's very convenient and has a great parking layout. Unlike many newer centers that ascribe to the mouse in the maze parking design. Sam's Club would have been wise to stay at the site. The Golden Ring location is super congested and just not enjoyable to shop. The major award for Parking Lunacy though belongs to the designers at Perring Parkway. Please say they didn't pay for that design. A fifth grader could have designed better..........

I really hope this happens. The lot is an eyesore. I really miss having a store like Ames. I wish they would replace it with another store like it!

You are right about Perring Plaza parking lot. I'm amazed that someone hasn't noticed how bad that is and tried to fix it.

I can't wait for something good to happen to this area...seems like everything in the area is closing (Golden Corral just closed two weekends ago), so new life is desperately needed! How about a Kohl's also? We need some big-box retailers in here SOON!!
