Unfortunately, there is not much to do, as the previous poster stated so beautifully! Who is who? Does not matter if you are not from here, you will never fit in. What to do for kicks? Well, there's Wal-Mart 20 miles away in Norfolk, then there's the Norfolk 7 movie theater. If you are up for a little drive, head to Neligh and take in a drive in movie in the summer. Omaha is around 3 hours away, but it has a great zoo. It is def worth the drive, even when the gas prices go up. If you are looking to stay in Pierce, there is the Short-Stop (killer malts) and the library. Oh....and Welcome to the area!!

Left the wasteland of northeast NE back 5 yrs ago and so glad I did. Even Johnny Carson and Hallmark left years ago and flourished once they did. Not a danged thing to do, winter runs too long, always windy and smells of cattle feedlots. When it snows the wind blows that sand they call soil all over the snow. Prices generally higher than other places yet (did I mention it yet) there's nothing to do but get drunk or watch TV and get fat. Then you have the good ol' boys that all hide under their white hoods in surrounding areas but none of the minorities really want the land. If it's such a valuable asset why did they drive the native Americans off their lands elsewhere and put them in places like Nebraska?? For those of you that like the area, either by not knowing any better being born and raised there or just having brain damage or being a person hiding on a fugitive warrant - enjoy. When I left I made more space for all of you.

There is plenty to do in Nebraska, I dont know Pierce that well but I know many of the people and they are great. Willow creek isnt to far away and tents are cheap its beautiful evenings make a week-end camp out wonderful! Fishing is another option. I saw it mentioned that the wind blew a little around here so-- buy a kite and plenty of string, I have. Its so peaceful. Norfolk has many great parks, and not to mention churches. Nebraskans maybe simple but at peace hope you enjoy your stay. The grass can always look greener on the other side, no matter where you are at. I left Nebraska for awhile when I got out of Highschool and was so happy to be home with the good Values I was raised with.

I see you've never been anywhere but Nebraska so you have nothing else to base your opinion on. I too have been up in your area for a couple years and I was so glad to leave and be elsewhere, I had more to do when I was on a remote in Adak Alaska.
