Alex, at least you'll get one vote - unless you try to register with a dead president's name.

Go ahead and blame Bush............I have watched from a distance and WVa was paid for back in the 60's and Poppa Kennedy paid for it....You got Byrd in office for 45 years and you owe the rest of the country an apology. Mass owes the same apology to the country for Ted Kennedy for 11 terms in office. What is wrong with you people. You need to move to a free state for awhile and then go home and see what you got. Wva is a beautiful state but you people will never get it right voting Dem for all those years. Don't forget Rockefeller and all he has not done for you folks.Don't bother cleaning your guns cause Obama will take them dirty. Your vote helped him alot.

IMHO what it really took was over 50 years.

It started with "....Floats all boats" and the erosion of Eisenhower's 92% TMR, and became "trickle Down," anti unionism, NAFTA and the Gramm/Leach/Bliley Act (=GLBA.)

Then when inevitably it broke, the "fix" was TARP and bailouts of the culprits.
No w the extractionists are having a field day, exporting ur energy security, by stripping the country (especially WV) of its remaining resources to ship overseas, like a stolen car in a chop shop. The immediate effect being rising domestic prices as we compete with the FIVEfold prices Japan pays for our own gas. Our taxes will go sky high as we subsidize the gas companies' enormously dangerous and expensive export ports and Chinese steel pipe-bomb pipelines. All to line the pockets of gas & oil companies; greedy something-for-nothing major investor/gamblers, and thousandfold-overpaid CEO's. And our health, environment, economy, and communities are the stripped, discarded frame of that stripped car.

Wake up RISE up West Virginia - get up,get out there, BLOCK the gas companies' hostile chemical warfare invasion, and vote Mountain (GREEN) Party (and support local anti-extraction candidates)!

Sounds like you support coal mining and are against coal mining.
How does that work?
I support neither coal mining nor coal mining COMPANIES, nor their investors.
That does not mean I am against coal miners.

I'm not the one paying lawyers many thousands of dollars to avoid paying families of killed miners, or miners with black lung, due to the companies' purposeful ignoring of safety measures.

Perhaps what's confusing you is that you believe the coal cmpanies are in any way FOR their workers.
One can be against coal, gas and oil extraction, but not against workers or jobs.

If (or when, as should have and will happen, as it's all running out and there's noplace ALL that waste doesn't poison and kill people) king CONG (Coal, Oil, Nuclear & Gas) was DEAD and GONE;
There would HAVE to be other -& less dangerous- jobs.
Hell, the jobs would be ten times more just to clean up the MESS they've made of beautiful West Virginia.

But the companies who have profited immensely from stealing our resources and trashing our state, for pennies bribing the gov't; should be the ones who have to PAY all those salaries - not the taxpayers, who have had to live, and suffer (and some die) in it while the extractionists skipped off with their riches from stripping and selling our state for parts, like a stolen car in a chop shop..

Wise UP - Rise Up, West Virginia.

I am terrified by the thought of the psycho right regaining power in this country. Almost every person in our area of WV should be a democrat, but instead of looking out for their own self interests they vote for the greatest propagandists since Nazi Germany. Republicans want to lower the federal minimum wage. They want tax breaks to continue for companies that ship jobs overseas. They want to end Social Security. Are those not bad ideas?
Repubs and tea-baggers say that we need to cut the budget of the government. Yet they say we cannot cut the budget for the military, our vets, or our seniors, but that is 7-% of the budget. Anyone capable of logic can see the nuts on the right are full of it.
And to any tea-baggers out there, I hear all the complaining of personal freedoms, and smaller government that you have. My question then is why not have less laws and less police?
The fact that you say psycho right shows your mind is closed to any change in WV. I hope WV will vote Republican and give them a chance. Things are terrible under the Democrats and have gotten really foul under Barack Obama. Most Democrats will vote the same policies that Obama put into place. They run from him during election time but he told the truth for once when he said he won't be on the ballot but his policies will. For me, 2016 can't come too soon....after that I hope I never hear the name Barack Hussein Obama or have to see his face again.

<quoted text>What will the republican party do for you? They screwed us over and over again. It is the party of the rich. You are not rich. You are the problem. You will bring this country down. When you are living on the street and your child is dying because you cant afford health care, you will see how dumb you are.
Give the Republicans a chance. Check out the net worth of the Democrats in Congress...they live a life of luxury also. You are stretching it to the limit to still be holding on to this rhetoric. Obamacare is a hot mess and people...including many Democrats and poor to middle income people are finding out they can't afford that "affordable" health care. Glad to see some will be voting Republican in WV...my home state.

Back in the late 1980s I had health insurance that was $80.00 for three month payment. In less than ten years I could not afford the payment. The affordable care act had nothing to do with my payment going up then. It was the medical industry and insurance company greed.
