The jury of 12 men and women -- all of whom declined to talk to The News Tribune after the verdict -- deliberated just over eight hours Wednesday and Thursday on the 38 charges Sadler faced.

Thanks for the links. I did research it. Wow, I had never heard what happened to him. I did not even know his name. While he was convicted then won on appeal I am thankful she was found.

No argument here with that, but the prosecution seems to think it needed that confession which wasn't an actual confession anyway.

After 3 years the Perverted Justice wikipedia page still claims Von Erck saved a kidnapped and raped child. As close as Perverted Justice follows its cases, Von Erck must know by now it is false, which strongly suggests the organization will slant evidence to its benefit. There is some evidence Von Erck knew then but didn't tell his followers the girl posted profiles at BDSM sites and claimed she was 19. They did not meet in a "chat room." The missing post was too generous. It is libel and defamation.

Great link. I had no idea. Sure clears up a lot in my mind about that case. I first saw it when the girl and the mom was on the Montel Williams Show. So many unanswered questions.

So, will Staebell appeal the Appellate Court's ruling to the California Supreme Court as Berk did in her most recent appeal?

Although Staebell would prefer that Wolin's trial begins sooner rather than later, he has 2-1/2 months of down-time until the scheduled June 4 pre-trial conference. And although TCAP convictions almost never rely on the post-arrest interview, Staebell may be concerned about a backlash resulting from the violation of Wolin's Miranda rights.

My money says Staebell will appeal to the Supes.

according to past posts that I remember:
-wolins estranged wife has removed all his photos at her office
-Wolin did find another job
-It is affecting his health
-he wears a toupe'
-posted his profile on dating services lying about his name and age (desperate)
-was on TMZ
and someone posted a websight on wolins 'wife' in regards to property...I think.

The District Attorney's office petitioned the appellate court to reverse a judge's ruling that the police used improper tactics that deprived Wolin of his Miranda rights.

I guess that means, in Wolins case, they did something wrong, but not to the others who pleaded out, convicted and served there punishments....right??????????

Wolin and 28 other men were arrested in August 2006 during a three-day sting Petaluma police and other agencies conducted in partnership with the TV show “Dateline NBC” and an advocacy group called Perverted Justice.

The appeals court ruling lifts a stay on Sonoma County proceedings in the case, which was headed for trial when prosecutors appealed. Further hearings will likely be scheduled soon.

Investigators believe Wolin arranged online to meet someone he thought was a 13-year-old girl for sexual purposes.

Wolin had a great job & all that money 'in case he decided to hit on a 13 year old' HEY MAYBE THE MORAL OF THIS STORY SHOULD BE: IF YOU ARE APPROACHING 50 [Fifty],(you look like Wolin) AND A 13 YEAR OLD GIRL WANTS SEX FROM YOU.....THINK ABOUT IT. SHE MAY BE A DECOY!!! Because even if it was NOT a sting, would ANY 13 year old go for someone who looks like Wolin (unless they are paid maybe-because of something else I saw on tv years ago) I could see a 13 year old finding the other YOUNGER in there 20's cute, but it is still a crime!!!
