Accident causes 5-mile backup on eastbound I-10

What ended up happen? I was there waiting for the accident to clear up.

I was 2 cars behind the Chevy sedan that crossed over and saw the whole horrible incident. It went across the median at full speed. For a second, I thought it could possible shoot through the eastbound lanes, but it the impact was horrible. The SUV flipped and rolled over and over. It was so fast, so violent that I didn't think anyone could have survived. I still think of the images, it was so quick.
Anyhow, a 99-yr old woman from Tucson died in the SUV. Two others were slightly hurt. The other 3 (1 child) in the sedan were uninjured. Unbelievable. What also is unbelievable was how hard it was to find ANY information anywhere about this accident. Makes you wonder how irrelavant it is due to it probably happens more often than people realize.
We pulled over as did everybody else and told them to fly in a helicopter. We were at the beginning of it all, so we were able to leave the scene without waiting. Also- apparently, investigators say it was probably tire failure on the sedan. Who knows?
I had to look up this site to find those details on the victims. It's one thing to read about it. But when you witness something so horrendous (2 cars ahead of us!), it is a big, big deal. Please everyone, be careful!
