I am a self-published author from Manitoba, presently working on my third novel. This is a series, set mainly in 1882’s Brandon, Manitoba, but the third book takes a journey down into Montana. It has taken some doing to find a location (especially since I have spent little time in your state) but as I was looking for a community having a hospital in 1890, and searching through internet archives , I came across Anaconda. The location appears perfect for what I am looking for. I am hoping to find someone who would like to share some historical interest/information of the area around Anaconda, and maybe some photos of the landscapes (not for in the book, but for me to get a feel of the area). At the moment my characters will be visiting the Anaconda/Deer Lodge area in June/July of 1891.
