Medical MJ is not illegal. This is just a money grab by a department (task force) that has been underfunded.
What are all those overpaid cowboys gonna do when MJ is legalized in 2010?

Hey, I'm totally in favor on medical MJ, but that doesn't appear to be the case here (though who knows what will come out in court). Before issuing the arrest warrant, they investigated the possibility that the stash was for medicinal use. If he was legit, he would have no trouble showing so. Other grow houses in Marin have been discovered, and the operators not charged because they showed they were legit.

I wonder what Mr. Badenhop's 2009 tax return looks like. I'm sure California couldn't use all that tax revenue for school funding, public housing, madical, section 8, drug diversion programs, and all that other bull#$%^ that liberals believe in to make themselves feel better about living in a nice Marin County home.

It's the liberals that want to legalize and tax marijuana. And if you think school funding is bull#$%^(your exact word), then you clearly don't have a clue....

Lock this guy up forever!!

We don't need a drug dealer making our children toxic.

Anyone that has sympathy for a drug dealer, let me tell you why they do it. They do it because they are lazy people and want to make fast and easy cash. They don't pay taxes, the carry guns, and they have no concern for you or your family. Also, they bring other drug dealers and low lifes into our neighborhood and that includes the MEXICAN MAFIA who will slit your throat in a heart beat. And then this drug money also ends up in the hands of terrorists.

There is nothing good to come of letting this scum bag back onto our streets. And send his scumbag associates including his wife to prison. And take everything they have and give it to pay down the massive debt Obama has created for us which is currently at $375,000 for every citizen of this country.

LOL... yeah, the Bush's sure helped it out. Maybe we should have let Clinton stay permanently and supplied him with interns... then you wouldn't owe so much money. Thank you was on terrorism for our debt.

I guess the difference is that the legal grower/seller is paying taxes, while the illegal grower/seller is not. Don't kid yourself, as already said, the only reason this guy is selling illegal drugs is because he's lazy and wants a quick buck and has no regard for who or what he destroys to make his money.

Thanks Batman, Tell Robin and Alfred you can take the afternoon off now. Sounds to me like you are too scared to go outside of your front door. Let alone make changes and implement techniques that will cause any real change. White Knights all around us....

Just to state the obvious, prison as been proven ineffective in rehabilitation of any crimes, unless "out of sight out of mind" is applied, which it often is. Second is the fact that our prison system is the most productive efficient fully integrated slave labor camp in history, paying its slaves 20 cents an hour while doing textile work that supplies McDonalds, Applebee's and similar with aprons and napkins. That's right, imagine some poor victim being placed into a high tech slave labor facility fully integrated and privately owned making the napkin that you are wiping your face with. Please think long and hard about the ideals of slavery and white knight syndrome that you are proliferating. That is the real evidence, how you act when no body else is looking.

They can lock up your body but they can never lock up your mind. If I was going to name call, or make joke's, you are somebody I wouldn't mind wasting the time on. Please respond with your thoughts, and be considerate.

Cool! You must have somked so much pot since you were 10 that you can't understand the cancer research surrounding unfiltered smoke. That is gonna cost us a lot of $$ under Obama's new health plan. Pot somkers unite for free health care, the republicans will vote against it and then have to pay for it.

Can you even cite one case where someone got cancer from smoking pot?

Pretty much it seems to depend on what you read... I typed in "Marijuana cancer" into google and 1/2 the hits said it causes DNA damage, testicular cancer, and has other negative effects... the other half say it helps fight brain cancer, it does not cause lung cancer, and that it has anti-cancer properties.

I guess the reality is, this debate about marijuana being good or bad for people won't get any further then people trying to discredit the sources when they don't agree. I personally would rather spend my time trying to push to get rid of Prop 13... I could give a rats ass one way or another about marijuana being legal.

If you compare all the mind-altering drugs available, pot would seem to be the least harmful, both to the body and as regards to peoples behavior while under its influence. Tell me I'm wrong.

I'm not comparing anything... yes, i'm sure some drugs are worse then others, but i'm not about to start ranking them. The point is, people who are selling drugs, be it pot, meth, or anything else, are doing it strictly for cash, knowing that it will hurt people, but they don't care.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Pisces

Although you're busy putting the finishing touches to your Christmas preparations, you'll also have to pay attention to someone who's feeling neglected or unloved. Luckily, it won't take much to make this person feel better, so a big hug or a little consideration might do the trick. You should also bear in mind that they may be feeling nostalgic or sad about the past.
