we think they should have a list of things to do for teens to do at home when they are bored! We are wasting our lives here.

When I asked an 18 yr old friend last year why he smoked pot and drank underage every night, instead of the fun stuff we used to do as teens, he told me that he can go get drunk and drive around and do drugs all day long and never get a second look from police, but the second that he roasts marshmallows in his parent's burnpile or rides his dirtbike, the police show up with attitudes and canines. I see what he's saying.
It's sad that the kids around here are forced to do drugs for fun because it's nearly illegal to make smores in your backyard.

I'm 36yrs. old and yes summer can be extremely boring. When I was a kid I spent much time bored out my mind. Today I spend time worrying about my kids too far away from.
We had dance clubs in Mobile growing up but I never went. Come Monday morning at school everyone knew who got caught drinking in the parking lot. Teenagers frontal lobe (brain) aren't finished growing causing them to do things adults don't find appropriate. But we did it too. My advice stay busy with sports bookstores and fun classes at your local jr. college. you'll be surprised at the friends you make that want to stay out trouble and learn something fun along the way.

Every Friday night there's a swing dance in Pensacola. The place is packed and it's a lot of fun. No smoking and no alcohol (strickly enforced).

Check out pensacolaswing.com

Hope to see you there!

I've been to the swing dancing at the American Legion. It is a great way to spend a night with friends.
What about Bayfront on Saturday nights? Or has that been brought to ruins as well?

What teens to do? Let me ask you teens - HELP YOUR PARENTS. That is something to do. Most families have two working parents, offer to do chores and chances are you will make a little money for chores and feel you did something - wash the car, floors, houses - clean the cubbards, rake the leaves, cut the grass, clean the garage, offer an elerly or handicapped neighbor to help them. if you drive - take mom to the grocery store - push the cart. There is nothing for any teen to do if they sit around after school looking for something to do. hanging out more than likely will get you in trouble so if you hang, hang out with the family and help out. it makes a man/woman out of you. you will see you parents won't look so tired and worn. whoever said teens need "something to do". you have too much time on your hands. it's not all about you - think about it. i was a teen once - stuck with 3 siblings. my mom needed me since my dad left and she needed to make ends meet and i did not get paid to be the mom after school. life is not about you - it's about the quality of your family. one day your friends will grow up and go there separate ways and all you have is you family. make something out out yourselves now. please, do it for yourself.

Givey our kids a list of chores and pocket money. That can tie up most of their summer. My early teen boy now I just started letting him stay alone for a couple of hours a day. He amazed me how well he did doing chores and it prepares them for life when he has to be a man and take care of himself. God I wish my job allowed me the summer off to feel "bored" five minutes let alone for a summer. Life moves fast and when one is bored - find soemthing to do - clean, watch tv, oprah, judge judge, hatchett judge, alex judge, dr. phil - shows one can discuss. have the kids set the table - even help make dinner if they are old enough. heck, one day they have to fend for themselves. let them clean the garage, attic, drawers, etc. and prepare for an end of summer garage sale. that will take 2 hours a day easy through the summer and let them keep the profits of stuff you don't need anylonger and help others. charity work - volunteer work. get a paper route, walk dogs, help the elderly. my son volunteers to help an elderly woman once a week. yes volunteer. a wonderful feeling to uplift the heart. when all else fails for boredom - pray the rosary - it works.

If you had a job, cause you are 19, and not living off your parents you would have your but in bed at 2 am. And as for the cop who stopped you, it is his job to check out someone at 2am. It is not the cops fault
that more teens than not commit crimes. If teens and
certain other people want acceptance from the mojority then clean up your act a little. As long as your are acting and doing things the majority does not approve of the you will not be accepted, and there in lies the problem, all these oppressed people
sre not willing to give up the drugs and crime but want acceptance.
Arrrrrrrrrrraghaaa! I disagree with you! Law and order! ORDER! Why should you leave your house at all (isn't it funny how the kids who ARN"T doing anything but what was once called NORMAL KID STUFF are usually the ones who get busted... Buy a hoody and walk on the west side selling drugs. They leave you alone then.

You must be looking for the wrong kind of fun, swimming, fishing, camping, hiking, shooting guns in the proper place, the beach, and many more should keep you busy enough that you do not need to be out at 3 am.

im from australia and we have the exact same problem here, all the good things to do like pubs & clubs, you have to be 18 to drink, so us 17 year old have nothing to do. we are sick of chillin at home, goin to the movies n shit like that. its boring. we want to go out, have fun and socialise & party.we cant even drive around a find something to do because you cant get your license until your 18, you have to be 18 to do anything, it sucks. i feel sorry for you americans having to wait till your 21 thats even worse, but you guys can probly get fake id easier than here im guessing.
they should lower the legal drinking age from 18 to 17 i reckon, we are all bored shitless!!!!!

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
