Why can't I have a union with my sheep? Stoopid mayors, I guess they aren't just in allentown and bethlehem. I know why I can't have a union with my sheep, because I want a union with all ten of them and they frown on multiple partners(stoopid shi-s). And these are the people who will lead America in the future. They could be led to slaughter if they got a half a$$ed reason for it.

Hi Snowman!

Just as soon as sheep are able to read, fully understand and comprehend a legal document, and put their signature in ink on the binding contract....you will be able to marry one of your sheep.

I do hope that answers you question.

My very best wishes to the new couples as they embark on,(hopefully), a 'life long experience' of joy.
As for the self_rightous,'traditionalists ': while they MOST DEFINETLY ARE entitled to an/their opinion, merely becasue they have an opinion DOESN'T mean I hvae to be affected by it! I view them the same way as Ratzinger-alias-Benedict! This 'vampire_pope' is "Taliban_Lite", because he,(just like the taliban!), refuses to see: his religious beliefs stop at a non_believers/other_believer's door. Afraid of Gay Marriege? No Problemo! Seeking to harass the rest of us with your 'holier-then-thou' attitudes? Mind your own business!

MAYOR Bill Welch is just like any other criminal, A CRIMINAL. Whether a minor or major law, breaking the law is still breaking the law. Mayor Bill Welch is just like PC, HOMOSEXUAL LOVER San Fransico Mayor Gavin Newsome.

What a sad day. Isaiah 5 says "Woe unto those who call evil good and good evil." These people and those who help and support them are so ingrained in their selfish sins that unless they repent they are doomed. This and how the Philadelphia gov't are some of the reasons why I have cancelled my trip to Pennsylvania and Philadelphia to research my ancestry.

It seems you are the intolerant one, thus a hypocrite. You ask for understanding and acceptance when all you can do is name call? You try to shout down and belittle those you disagree with instead of engage in debate, so it is you who are the radicals and who are the problems.

Why the people cheered at an immitation of a marriage is beyond me. God condemns it and even Jesus stated that marriage was only between a man and a woman as God ordained it in the beginning.(Mark 10:6-9)

America has a lot to answer for to God and this is one of the last nails in our coffin. I wonder what the excuse is going to be to God. That he is wrong? That he is hateful or that he is just out of step with his creation? I think people will find out that God is not the one out of step but they are. What part of Leviticus 22:18, Romans 1:22-32,1 Corinthians 6:9-10, or Revelations 21:8 do people not understand? There is no gray area or hard to understand wording.

These couples can choose to live together for the rest of their lives. I've no problem with that. They can exchange rings as an outward sign of their commitment to one another. I've no problem with that. They can have a public ceremony to demonstrate their love and commitment to one another. I've no problem with that. In fact, we need more people to do so. As a culture (what's left of it) we need to promote the ideal of life-long sexual commitment and rearing of children - the Traditional Family.(Even if the second item in the list is not actualized biologically.)

My issue is that they demand that I *promote* their relationship as equal as my relation with my wife. That I can not do. Counterfeits are dangerous because they devalue the original, not because of the perceived value of the copy. The more society accommodates any counterfeits of the original, the original loses it's appeal... "As goes the family, so goes the nation."

Besides... I thought marriage was an outdated, patriarchal, repressive institution. I though that we (as an "enlightened society") had outgrown said institution. Why would homosexuals want to embrace something that the heterosexual majority "our enlightened society" is abandoning in droves?

Homosexual groups don't want "equality" as such; they have that. What homosexual groups want is society's unequivocal acceptance.

I genuinely wish these couples the best, but they've chosen to reject it by embracing homosexuality as a lifestyle. Any behaviour that, as a consequence of that behaviour, shortens the lifespan of those engaging in said behaviour by approximately 20-30 years simply can't be "acceptable". Don't believe me? Why is it socially unacceptable to smoke? To cook with trans-fats?(Answer to both: endangering lifestyle choices that tax the health care system that is rapidly becoming socialized.) The same standard we're measuring the "social acceptability" of smoking and trans-fats if applied to homosexuality should hold. Instead it's called "hate" and "intolerant".

We're being socially engineered. And most of us don't know it. The rest of us are called "hate-mongers" and "intolerant" and "pseudo-religious-fascist s".

The Mayor did not break any law. He would have broken a law, had he referred to the commitment as a marriage.

For that matter if snowman wants to be committed to his sheep then the Mayor could do that. I would advise that if the sheep have a lick of sense they will refuse. His sheep are too good for him, they can do better.

Zecco, your narrow interpretation of one book is hardly applicable to anybody who doesn't follow your faith. There are many different religions, and even different interpretations of the bible. My God is a loving, nurturing God, not your wrathful, judgmental god.

I agree with Ozark. God's Word clearly states what He thinks of gay relationships. I pray you people turn from your twisted ways while you still have time. Jesus loves you and wants you to have a personal relationship with Him and spend eternity with Him in Heaven. None of us are worthy of God's love but a way has been made to Him thru Jesus Christ. But we must repent!

ACLU-Tom, you said "There are many different religions". But there is only one way to Heaven. That is thru Jesus Christ.

Making the assumption you EVEN are an alumni, you would know that Penn State University and the Bourough of State College are two different entities. The Mayor is CEO to State College and the College President to Penn State. So, withholding donations from the college means squat to the Mayor, who btw isn't a Penn State Grad, like you.
