Missing dog

Wow what is lee county coming to who ever done it better hope you are never found out lot of jail time over this that dog is a cop and charges will be the same as kidnapping a cop some one was not thinking or done to many pills that day.
Is their a reward not that I know anything but that's how you will get them to turn on each other.

What is the dogs name in case we thing we see it? And was this the one seen at the 4th of July celebration?

His name is chase and i dint think he was at the july 4th celebration

I hope you can find him who ever done this didn't relize this dog has probly been with its handler since a pup and part of the family.
Keeping our eyes open any thing else about the dog I'm sure he's very well trained do you think he would respond to anyone besides handler?

I would just like to say Gates is a good guy and a good officer and you could tell he was very fond of that dog. The problem is not that he pulled in and went to pee. The problem is some idiot thought it would be funny to steal the dog. I think you should request that the person leave the dog chained at Leeman Field or something. They'll be more likely to bring him back if they don't fear getting caught. I hope someone has him that just thought it would be funny and has no intention of hurting him. Poor dog.

It was on WJHL ch. 11 news tonight. It was another embarrassing event for Lee County as a whole. No wonder folks elsewhere make fun of is and laugh at us.

Instead of worrying about the news, we should be worried about the dog. The dog was bought with donations, trained, and did a much needed job. Anyone who would take him is hurting the whole county. Someone knows who did this and they need to step up and do the right thing. Call the Sheriff's office and tell where he is or who took him. People need this help. I pray that anyone who knows will help us all on this.

According to WCYB News last night the dog has been found. Why is this being put on the back burner now? Somebody had to see something at Leeman Field When the dog was taken.Too many people around that park all the time not to have seen anything.People walks around the park all hours of the day and this happened in the day time.Also the Town Police has a place near the restroom area and there is always someone around there.I hope they did finger prints on the car when this happened. Somebody has to know something and they should come forward.This dog was not bothering anyone.Lets don't let who did this get by with it.Take a stand and and make them accountable for what they did.

You sir are a poor excuse for a retired cop (fired maybe) if you really were one. Ready to fire someone without knowing all the circumstances and you know your not hearing everything here. That is just poor.

First of all, a patrol vehicle was left unattended and undecided with weapons, radios and more. Second of all something with a value in excess of $ 8,000.00 was stolen as a result of officer negligence. So, you tell me. He is obviously responsible to the taxpayer for this loss.
