well if that is the truth he must plan on recruiting all of TW team too because you could not fill that many jerseys (99) if you combined both teams and included the cheerleaders! LOL Talk about a waste of money!

$36000 is the salary of a teacher who had been teaching over 15 years. Too much to spend on football uniforms and too little to spend on a teacher with that many years of experience. Shame on this school system and those at the school board office for allowing this to happen.

Once again, get this thru your head, the BOOSTERS, you know, that's us parents if the football players, RAISED the money for these uniforms. It has NOTHING to do with the school or countys money!

Once again, get this thru your head, the BOOSTERS DID NOT PAY for the uniforms. They were paid for by the School Board out of County Money. They also have the color black on them. When did Lee High change their colors to add Black?

Wonder how Thomas Walker feels about the School Board paying for the uniforms for Lee High? Double standard, I see trouble brewing.

Watch for more black and less red in the years to come, until it will end up black jerseys, gold pants, and maybe a red stripe. Also watch for the tearing down of other sports programs, because a certain egomaniac thinks that the worse the other programs are, the better football will look. There is already a rumor that the basketball and baseball teams will lose the assistant coaching positions, not to mention the fact that they have made no effort to fill the current basketball openings at Lee (girls) and T.W. (boys).

Its no rumor. All sports except football, soccer, and scholastic bowl are losing their assistants. Plus all coaches are getting there supplements reduced. Have to pay for all those football coaches somehow. They are also cutting out the Lee middle baseball and softball programs. Would have done it at the last board meeting but they decided to table it until next month. And you are right about trying to make the other programs look bad so foootball looks better. Tough to be a winning sport at Lee High.

Really wrote: Wonder how Thomas Walker feels about the School Board paying for the uniforms for Lee High? Double standard, I see trouble brewing. We are use to it. It happen more than you think. We get mostly hand me downs and look at what we do with them. We won the Cumberland District Boys Track yesterday in Coeburn. Yes we are in a "smaller" "weaker" district but at least we are competitive and have several in different sports, and what does Lee High have? Over 700 students (more than twice what we have) and can't beat themselves! Give us your crumbs, we will make them into cakes!

No problem with the uniforms. The money for the uniforms comes from the money that the football team makes at the gate each year. Plus palko left the program in such bad shape that they had nothing left. The football pays for all the other sports except maybe basketball. The thing i do have a problem with is all the retirements at Lee High. McDavid and Ward retire because they hate Connie D. She has no leadership skills and is tearing Lee High apart. Her socialist agenda is not going over well and Lee High will soon have no teachers.

Especially if you are looking in jonesville! We hated the puppies and still do! Nothing good has or ever will come for that sorrya$$ place. My son played for Terry and I am proud to say that Terry will play all PMS boys because there is none from jms worthy of even being on the sidelines with our boys from PMS. You might as well take your little kiddies to play somewhere else cause Terry and his assistants all ready have all they need to make up the best team this year and next. Proud that my son will be wearing Red BLACK AND GOLD!! I have this fiqured out. "Bobcat Backer" is someone from Jonesville who wants everyone to hate Terry Martin, so they are going on this site and putting rude things about JMS to make Terry look like he is choosing favorites. Terry is a fair person who will give kids a chance based on what they can do. Wait until the season starts before you judge, I think he will do well. A lot of the kids playing are from JMS and the coached will help them blend.Good Luck Terry and the Generals.

Dear Bobcat, I am a graduate of Lee High School. Your comment is irrelevant and does not reference the obvious situation at hand as your grammar is deplorable. It does not matter whether one attended Pennington, Jonesville or Lee High. It does matter whether one has the necessary skill to succeed in life. One of the most important (skills) is the ability to coherently communicate in simple sentence structure. The failure to do so makes one seem unintelligent and directly impacts the ability to debate anything. The focus of any school should not be sports especially a losing football team. Lee High has not had a successful football team since my freshman year of high school. The most important and fundamental part of school should be basic education. Lee High is graduating students who do not have basic skills. It is a tragedy. In addition, it is also a contributing factor to the downfall of our ever deteriorating community.

Scriptures

Jesus tells us to first go to the person one-on-one. Second, go to the person quickly. Jesus counseled that, if someone is worshiping God and remembers that he or she has offended a friend, the appropriate response is to stop right there and go immediately to the offended individual. With those words Jesus made it clear that correct interpersonal relationships are more important than correct ritual. This tends to grate against religious folks who say that God must be our first priority. It is true that God should be our primary focus. However, our relationship with God is better gauged by our human relationships than by religious ritual. Although we cannot guarantee that the offended brother will accept us, we are obligated to make every effort “as far as it depends on” us (Romans 12:18). Romans 12:18 New International Version (NIV) 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
