Honestly I cant even put into words how I feel about this situation. So many things to say but i dont even know where to begin. You dont have anyyy clue why she is the way she is. she is in jail for a long time and she has a lot of time to get her self together to start a new life for when she gets out. im no longer sitting here reading these comments by people that dont even know megan and think they do. I undertand people have their opinions on her but to sit here and just talk about her life when it has NOTHING to do with accident is just crazy. Dont tell me to quit being sorry, of course we are sorry for the victims family. It makes me sick to know that the two children lost their mom forever because of a stupid mistake.

She will not be in jail that long, cause whites that do this type of crime normally don't get much of a sentence.
If they keep her in jail till the trial, it will end up being time served and she will be out and free, free to start her "new life" as you say, free to dye her hair again, free to do drugs and drink all night and day, free to drive drunk and on drugs without a license again. In the eyes of Megan and her family, she only made one mistake and that was getting caught.

In life, every action has a reaction. Megan and her friends have acted insuch a manner that has had negative reactions: drug and alcohol abuse, lack of education/motivation, lack of respect for societal rules, non-existent parenting skills etc. But this time, Megan's miscreant behavior resulted in the loss of a beautiful soul. She now needs to face the consequences like an adult, make amends with her higher power and make restitution for her wreckless lifestyle. We can only go forward, not back. Making excuses for her behavior is enabling and needs to stop.
