Protestors camp out at White Earth Reservation

Maybe something similar can happen in regards to Jesse Jackson, Louis Farakhan etc...

Camp justice does NOT represent a majority of tribal members here in White Earth, WE can not let a small group of people have a hold on the tribal government. 50-60 people that do nothing in our communities to improve thier lives or others should quit making such a mockery of claiming to stand for justice. Thier thug lifestyles have been interrupted with recent drugs busts. Many have chosen not to work..but feel they have the right to disrupt the employment of other tribal members. YOU DO NOT SPEAK FOR ME

You must be one of Erma's goonies that help yourself to the money that susposed to be helping the people of white earth. I don't live up there but have heard plenty of stories about her taking money for herself and also helping herself to money from the casino to use for gambling habit.

Unless you have facts not rumors and can back up your statements you should not accuse anyone of theft or of being a goon you don't live here, so you should mind your own business. Most of those protesting import DRUGS into our communities and have a give/you owe me attitude. Perhaps if the community members of the villages of White Earth had a copy of thier position, then we would understand thier protests. Go on mn courts and look at the records of those that are protesting....alcohol and drug related offenses, doesn't make them credible. What have they contributed to White Earth????

no I do not live up there, but have family members that live up there and are not drug users but they get no help and also family that have worked for the rtc and do know the facts of the way the money is used for personel use.

To enrolled member, what have you done for the community? You dont even live in White Earth! Your location states Detroit Lakes? Yes i have facts that when the first petition was served on Erma she had Tim Antell escort her to the casino where she took $60,000 dollars out of the vault to pay for her attorney and was escorted home.

And yes i worked for the tribe for fourteen years and seen all the illegal bull shit they did including when Erma and Rene stoled the ballot box that put Erma in office the first time this i know is true because i know i was in the building when it happened and also know the people that did it.

I am also aware of other tribes...Very much so, and white earth does not recieve any help and weather or not these protestors are credible is not the issue. What is the issue is that we have the means to provide for people who are in poverty and are not doing so!! Maybe if we helped people (maybe of course) they would not be so depressed and on drugs in the first place. I also do know the extent of extortion where reservations are concerned, I am not going to name anyone or call out but, the fact that, lets face it the money could be used to help the people of the tribe and not just certain indeviduals...If we are not being heard than the people who are credible need to come forward!!

Erma is selling out our tribe she is a thief and enrolling white people!!!!

I am one of the few outside of the elected officals who have seen the ENTIRE PETITION and all who put thier names on elders mothers working people all walks of life sighned it. 570 people sighned it thats 20 percent of the resident INDIANS WHO LIVE HERE!!!

i think that if are a native, then you should be at least 1/4th native and have a letter saying so, to be even a native, then maybe we can get PC money like then other tribes do, i see people that are like 1/80th native get things that are for natives, like health care, a house, a job, money from high winds, but when i go to get that all the funding has ran out,,,that is what it is all about, i live here,,thanks,

i live in white earth, i see white people with rez cards, just look at pat clark, he married a native and now he is a native too, he is a white man all the way, on richwood road thay named a road after him too,so why is it that some white man can have a house that my tribe paid for and fixed up two times, even have a white earth card?, and i am homeless? i have a letter from the BIA saying i am 13 16th native and my mom full blood and i cant even get a job, i am still waiting to hear from toro since 1996, so i say them white people out of our tribe, if you dont have a letter saying you are least 1/4th native then get them off,then maybe i can get a job and a place to live,,
