How is life if Monteagle? Looks like a nice small town. Need affordable home and low property taxes. Dont need a job. retired. How far is it to a nice large lake. Thanks

Monteagle is a nice place to live. Sometimes getting use to the locals is a little rough. In the end the locals would be there to help during an emergency!
Lived in Monteagle from 1967 until 1975, moved back there in 1991, left again in 1993 for a better job!
