This will be interesting to see how this plays out, especially, with the handgun charge. His blood alcohol level wasn't mentioned. Wonder if he took a breathalyzer or a blood test?

This is an outrage!!!! The director of security over the courts in Nashville should be held to a higher standard than that of the citizens of this county. Being drunk and armed is against the law, so how can this man maintain a position with such great responsibility if he cannot use good judgement about his drinking? Is he still working and if so is he still armed? What kind of judgement will he use as he directs the security of our courts and how will he react if we have a serious incident or act of terror in the courthouse? This is something that must be addressed. He was in a motorcycle accident about a year ago and that was another incident that just seemed to just go away. Will this?

I don't believe he is drinking while at work and I'm sure he does a fine job - nights and weekend may be a different story. Sweeping this under the rug is not going to help Norman, I hope his family or the court system will direct him to the help he really needs AA, Cumberland Heights, etc. before something really bad happens. I wish them luck it's a hard road...

Any Robinson that works in the Courthouse IS A Robinson. No difference with Norman Robinson. No One will fire him, no one will touch him, nothing will happen. In fact this will be the last you will hear of it. Just like his drunk driving accident a year ago. Director of Security of Metro Courts was made just for him when he retired from the Navy. His specialty was NOT security. He is more of a snob then a Security Manager. If he loses his license he will most likely be allowed to hire a guard from Wackenhut to be his driver.

I'm very curious to see how this plays out. That DUI checkpoint was in Robertson Co. not Sumner. I saw it. I would have driven through it butthey were closing up shop by the time I went through that area. His trial will be in Robinson Co. not Davidson. I bet both guns were loaded. No one carrys an unloaded gun. If he's Director of Security, he's not a cop. So when he was charged with posession of a firearm while intoxicated he must have been a TN Handgun Carry Permit Holder. That will be revoked. If he has an Armed Security License then that might get revoked too. I wonder how drunk this guy was? I bet he was really drunk. Let's just hope that Davidson Co. Judges don't have a long enough reach to affect a trial in Robertson Co. This guy deserves to be found guilty, loose his permit(s), etc. He is an embarrassment to Handgun Carry Permit holders across the state, as well as Metro Government. Of all people he should know better, which means he should receive the maximum penalty.
