I first heard this song on the radio, then I saw the music video. I wonder what it was like to be there. I'm so sorry about what happened that sad, sad day in history. But no one seems to know about it or care! Why?! It's very important!

I would like to thank all the soldiers and there families of the Vietnam war and 173rd AirBorne!!! My husband is a soldier and working on his 3rd deployment to Iraq. I could never image my husband coming home and people spitting in his face. I am really sorry that you guys didn't get a better home coming then you did. I wish that we could do something more for you all. I have a group of friends going to dinner tonight and we are going to have a toast for all of you!!! Thank you again for your contribution to OUR great nation!! You will always be in my heart!!!

I just wanted to ask every one who loves this song to pray for my cousin David who is a member of 1st battalion 503rd Airborne(infantry) who is now attached to the 173rd Airborne... Thanks Big & Rich this song is by far the best modern country song out there

Our fallen will not be forgotten! The 173d Airborne Brigade National Memorial will be Dedicated at 1000 hours, Tuesday, 1 June 2010, at the National Infantry Foundation Museum & Soldier Center in Columbus, GA. The site for the 173d Memorial is close to the Main Gate to Ft. Benning, GA, "the home of the Airborne". Go to www.173dairbornememorial.org for more info.
