Well, the students are fed up with that the central office and school board are/have done for a few years now and want to put a stop to it.

The newspaper was hardly deceitful - since when does one bad run at an already underperforming school make an entire career? Everything else should be dismissed? No one is disputing that Cantu was a good coach or a great person for our kids - the school board screwed him over too!!! Our kids have been caught in these stupid political issues year after year. How many head coaches will the upcoming seniors have in their high school career if the board terminates another coach - FOUR!!! I respect that my kid will fight for what he believes in - he is a part of what is going on day in and day out in athletics and has been inspired to stand up for it - good for him and all the others that have finally had enough.

Our children also participated in a variety of sports. They have gone to very respected universities and hold great jobs. I just can't believe that the very say words I heard in the late 70's from a anglo woman (I just bought was tamales in Little Mexico). I pretended I didn't know what she meant, and asked her, "Where is that?" And here we are in 2012, and we still have people like you. Just plain racist!! When are you all going to accept the fact that Pearsall is one community like or not!!

If the Mavs ever have a great season I am more than sure that everyone will come out of the woodwork and support the green and white..dont wait til then support them now..the kids do the best with what is handed to them .. its apparent that the change of coaches has always been an issue .. until then may never happen..good luck Mavs .... Basic hard nose fundamental football..hit'em all the same ... HARD.

coach are a dime a dozen until the student athelete and their parents get serios about it. it will be more of the same. stop the drugs stop the failling grades have a little pride. it easy to play the blame game. in the end a coach is only as good as his players.9

So you telling me Graf wants to leave Hondo and come coach at Pearsall? Why the fk would he do that? Hondo has beaten Pearsall 13 straight years. I cant remeber the last time we beat them. I no he ain't that stupid.

Graff is not leaving Hondo, a couple of board members are just making crap up and dropping certain coaches names to convince people that screwing over another coach is not a big deal. Graff knows that being from Pearsall does not save you from the board's ignorant and political moves - just ask Shane Wilson. He was a hometown boy that the board screwed over too - just more political lies coming from the school board members to cover their bs moves.

I just saw a kid that plays football and I asked him if he was going to play football well he said yes. Well he said they need a coach that will toughen them up. So I think by that statement alone I think it's the kids not putting in the full effort.

Pearsall needs to ask the UIL permission to move down to AA.They can't play to the level of Devine,Hondo,Somerset.Maybe they can compete with Natalia,Cotulla.Just being nice.
