My new iphone DOES NOT work with my 2007 BMW 530I and I am getting no satisfaction from the dealer or from the BMW website. I am being told that the iphone has upgrades now that aren't compatible with the BMW & that the issue is being addressed, but no one can say when it will be resolved. Has anyone else had a problem?

HAHA you come from a city called Grosse Tete??? That's so funny. I guess you know what that means in French!? Sorry for your car problem. It sucks to have a 2007 BMW.... lol. Just kidding. I have an Audi A4 and can't have my iPhone work in it.

I actually live in Baton Rouge, but I am of Cajun descent and yes I know the meaning of Grosse Tete. I'm just surprised someone from CA does. I don't know why the computer assigned me the wrong location, but it doesn't change anything. I still can't use my IPhone in my car. It seems my IPhone version is 1.0.2 and BMW only has worked on 1.0.1. Thanks for the reply, glad I could give you some amusement.

I have that same problem iphone is 1.0.2 and bmw site says only 1.0.1 and 1.0 has been tested. My car is also a 2007 530 wagon. The phone (when pared to the card) keeps cutting in and out. Have you got yours sorted yet? zzmsrk

2007 X5 - The bluetooth feature works fine; however, when I connect using the built in i-pod cable the i-phone says it is not a compatible device. I am not able to play music or charge the phone at this point.
Not sure if the latest version broke it. If I remember correctly, I tried prior to upgrading with the same results.
My wifes GL450 doesn't work at all anymore, bluetooth or via the i-pod interface. Seems Apple is not playing well with car manufacturers... I expected it to work as well as the i-pod did.

My 06 330cic has ipod adapter (no idrive display) and my iphone works well as a phone, but the ipod does not work even though I have made the BMW1 etc playlists. It does not recognize them. Will play all songs as a group though. I'm realy disapointed no song text info... Is this the 21st Century?

I've got BMW 325 (06), Bluetooth module was installed in 2007 by my dealer. Iphone pairs with my car perfectly and works until I leave the car. When I come back and turn the ignition on the car finds the Iphone and connects, but with the first incoming or outgoing call connection drops. This story repeats everytime when I turn ignition on-off.

Hi I ordered my new bmw 318 dm sport and it will be delivered in March 2008. I didn't opted for bluetooth kit & idrive. Car will have a USB adapter . I was wondering if I will be able to use iphone as an mp3 & phone. I will be most grateful of somebody can let me know the answer to this puzzle.

I purchased a 2008 535xi recently. It was supposed to have the USB adapter from the factory, so I would have the Iphone music functionality. When I had an appointment to install the USB adapter, the Dealer's Service department said that it won't work, so the install was canceled. Who is right? BMW's website says: "So it seemed only logical that BMW be among the first to ensure iPhone owners have the same ability to enjoy their music, plus the added benefits of Bluetooth® hands-free calling across our model line, from day one of its release. Using a newly-available optional USB connection port, both iPods and iPhones can be seamlessly integrated into any BMW model."

it does work - the iphone with the usb cable. ur dealer is NOT right - bmw site IS.
i got the problem (e93, 2007): i connect my iphone and pair it - everything works fine. then i leave the car and when i get back i have to repair, otherwhise it wont work and the bluetooth connection gets lost.
it aint a solution to do the pairing process again and again, so that i can use bluetooth with my iphone.
BMW: SOLVE THIS !!

My iphone works with my 2007 x5 with integrated USB IPOD connection. It does not charge however. Bluetooth pairing works just fine. If it charged, my life would be complete.

Any clue if the forthcoming G3 I-Phone will be BMW compatible? I just bought an '08 335i Coupe and would hate to spring for a new phone that won't work in my car.
