bad neighborhood stay away

Parkchester is not a bad neighborhood. Been living there 21 yrs almost all of my life. Its a good decent palce to live. Its not the best but its a whole lot better than many places in the bronx. Its more like a small city. Parkchester south is a good place to live, its very affordable compared to the rest of the city. My only real complaint is parking.

I live in Parkchester since 1976 and raised 2 children,now will be retiring to south,east

2006 -- Parkchester is just lovely, nice residential community. there are no bad areas in Parkchester. Nice place to raise children and very quiet, nice place to relax and feel safe. the building sare immaculate, as well as the grounds.

Be aware that Parkchester NORTH is the side you want to stay away from. The South is a good place to live, but like anywhere else, don't cross the train tracks.. Stay away from the NORTH SIDE

The side on Tremont Ave is the North Side. Wouldn't you prefer something closer to the train station? If you are not familiar with the Bronx, try to spend a few hours in the neighborhood you want to buy. Get some addresses you might want to buy and walk around. Parkchester is a condo community of renters and owners. It has many good retail stores, a theater and many green areas. One of the negatives is parking.

I have a 1 bed condo in Parkchester North I want to sell for 102,500.

It's below market price. Your saving goes toward new carpeting and a new paint job, maybe a new kitchen too.
