ona hughes ( unknown last name now )

knew ona several years ago when she lived in champaign heard a few years ago she lived in rankin. just wondered how she was and how life turned out for her. back then she was a very sweet person.

well now i dont really know... but last that i knew she was doing good.... she is my grandma Anna's sister.... she has several kids... still lives in Rankin with her family....

To Elisabeth Tester just out of curiosity what is Onas last name now? When I knew her she lived on W. White St.in Champaign and always had the prettiest smile. She had come to Glasgow,Ky. a long time ago that is how I met her and she has always just been one of those people you meet and often wonder about. Any info would be appreciated only for the sake of just wondering.

Still wondering about any info on Ona and her last name now? Any info would be appreciated, I use to go visit her and her mother in Champaign and the only interest is how life turned out for her and if she found true happiness which I hope she did. She always had the prettiest smile.

Her last name is Stevens now.... she is still smiling..... her mother is now past away.... so is her sister and brother-in-law.... she has 7 or 8 kids now... she is still married... if u want to know any more info let me know....

Hate to hear about her mother she always was so nice but I have to remember that was 30 years ago, time flies whether you're having fun or not. Hey Elisabeth this is for sure the same Ona from 402 W. White in Champaign approximately 30 years ago right. I am still just totally blown away by 7-8 children. So just for the sake of curiosity just how is it that you are related? I remember, seems like forever in one way and just like yesterday in another going to Champaign to visit Ona and just one of those things ( distance etc.) and then all of a sudden it was over. I remember the day Jimmy Carter was being sworn in as President going to Champaign and there was snow and ice everywhere just to se her. The first time I ever saw Ona she was sitting at the Greyhound bus stop in Glasgow, Ky. and I saw her sitting there and she looked both lonesome and yet so BEAUTIFUL that I just had to talk to her,she had been visiting some of her friends in Glasgow, I think possibly the girl she was visiting was from Illinois. Oh well I'll quit rambling but still yet any further info is still appreciated. THANKS

Thanks Elisabeth, you have at least answered questions I had always had. I will still say that I am amazed about all the children but am happy for her. Back then she just did not seem like she would want several children. I remember meeting some more of her family and think possibly I may have briefly met your Grandmother. If you think of it the next time you either see her or have your grandmother to tell her that a guy named Darrell that used to come see her from Glasgow, Ky. said HI. And just for the sake of curiosity wasn't Ona's mother's name Anna also?

It has just been a friendly conversation between myself and Elisabeth. So SoMuch41 there is no need in trying to be smart, no one needs her social security number. I use to see her a long time ago and had often wondered about her. Nothing more than that and I bet you and a lot of other people have met people or dated someone and often wondered ahatever became of them. Hope you have a great day.

Elisabeth, I still live in Glasgow,Ky.you seem like you would be an interesting person to meet. You seem like you would be young so just out of curiosity is there a specific reason why you would want to meet? Remember I'm as old as ONA or at least very close.

I really enjoy hanging out with older ppl... i am 18 yrs old..... and i enjoy getting to know ppl that my family knows....
