I had several break ins and my alarm as going off as well as my german shep going nuts... The cops completely neglected to inform me there were many recent unsolved burglaries in the area. This is unacceptable. Not that long ago in Pawling the state police covered up a rape. THE POLICE have a responsibility to the community to inform the residence. We have families to protect! I get the fact that they want to avoid havoc, that is not their job. They have no right to prevent news from getting released to the public. If they want toprevent havoc they should prevent robberies! Their response times are over 45 mins and sometimes 1.5 hrs! Too often the police forget that it is the home owners TAX dollars that fund their departments, Not the renters living in the villages.
